Sunset, Delmarva Peninsula, Delaware Beaches, Friends, Celebration, Oysters, Roasts, Barbecue

 

No, my friend, Shelley, will never be accused of not having too much food.  Yesterday’s get together in the name of Easter was no different. 

It was not traditional Easter fare and definitely not a brunch.  We arrived at her farm as the stillness and beauty of the early evening descended upon us.

Barbecue on, oysters and clams steamed, cheeses and drinks and off to settle ourselves on her open porch and verandas and witness the beauty of a Delmarva sunset.  We did not need music; the frogs were serenading us with their sounds and as the skies grew darker, they got louder.

Roasts on the barbie, seasonal veggies, salads and sorbet.  Ahh…so good, and better yet, enjoyed with family and friends.
