Christine’s Consignments, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Women’s Clothing, Men’s Clothing, Jewelry, Handbags, Shoes, Housewares, Resales, Modern, Chic, Consignment Shopping, Southern Delaware, Delaware Beaches, Rehoboth Beach Annual Sidewalk Sales are this Weekend!!

I have been on a roll….purging my closets, getting organized.  Why do we accummulate so much stuff?  It is true, that if you have not worn it or used it for a couple of years, then donate it to someone that can enjoy it. With that thought in mind and with the other thought that “someone’s trash is another person’s treasure”, I kept packing bag after bag.  The Thrift Shop at Midway Shopping Center on Coastal Highway was not taking anymore clothing; only shoes, bags and other items. There is another one on the Forgotten Mile run by the Episcopal Church.  Since then I have found out that there are plenty of other shops in the area. People have the same thoughts at this time of the year.

A few friends suggested I take some of my things to a consignment shop.  That they do and enjoy getting that extra cash in their pockets.  I started thinking about it and that is how I ended up calling Christine’s Consignments. This cute little shop is located at 200-A Rehoboth Ave., in Downtown Rehoboth Beach, DE. Tel. 302-226-1126.  If you decide you would like to take some of your treasures that you no longer need to Christine’s, please give them a call so that you can make an appointment.  At the time of the appointment you can bring your goodies so they can go through them. And please don’t take it personal if they don’t choose everything you brought that you thought was the best.  Seasonal things is what they want and they want them to be in good shape and worthy of resale.  If you keep that in mind you will do great.

Just like in any shop the clothing is divided in sections.  There are new arrivals and also designer clothing racks.

This weekend in Downtown Rehoboth Beach are the much awaited and very well attended Sidewalk Sales.  Hope you can make it.  All weekend long, you will be able to get tremendous discounts, and find fabulous accessories. These sales start today, Friday, May 18th and continue through Sunday, May 20th, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. but some store hours may vary.  Please check that out.  It is going to be a rainy weekend but do not worry those sales are here to stay. Tax free shopping in Delaware!!

Christine’s Consignments has another location at 42 Atlantic Ave., in Ocean View, near Bethany Beach. That telephone is 302-829-1425.

If you are bringing some of your treasures to Christine’s Consignments once they have gone through the items you will be given a number.  And you will also sign a very simple contract.  You should give them time to sell your items.  And, you can discuss with them what you would like to do if items are not sold.  They do donate to the local charities things that are not sold.

Like any other shop, items come and go quickly.  The inventory is always changing.  So probably is not one of those shops that you would likely say “I have been there already”.  Always something new at very good prices. You are spending time at the beach and let’s say you forgot your accessories, Christine’s Consignments would be perfect to grab that item that will finish your look.

I hope you have a great weekend.  Good luck finding your treasures!! Give them a chance second time around!

Little Egg Harbor Soap Company, (L.E.H.), Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Soaps, Butters, Scrubs, Lotions, Balms, Soy Candles…Guys and Dolls…Is your Skin Ready for Spring? Shop Local, Delaware Beaches, Southern Delaware

dscn1563

Pamper your skin; is your body ready for Spring?  I am sure it is all stressed from the cold weather.  But think about this; pretty soon the Uggs will come off and hello to beautiful sandals…guys, I am including you in this post.  Products just for you.

Last Fall I discovered Little Egg Harbor Soap Company, L.E.H.  Their soaps are made in New Jersey.  They are made with oils of coconut, palm, olive, sunflower, castor and shea butter.  They make them in small batches; using all the best natural ingredients.

In Downtown Rehoboth Beach you can find them at 127 C Rehoboth Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971  Tel. 302-260-9813.  Website?  http://www.lehsoap.com.  At present, they are open Thursday through Monday.  That will soon change as the Delaware Beaches get ready for the Season.

I stopped by to get a couple of gifts and to check out what was going on?  Was there anything new?  Cinda Dera is the Store Manager.  She knows everything there is to know about their products and the ones they represent.

I totally fell in love with the Pomango Soap.  Not only did it smell deliciously of pomegranate and mango, but it looked beautiful.

dscn1556

They also have a Pomango all natural body butter that smells so good and it softens your skin immediately.

dscn1726

The soaps made by L.E.H. have enticing names like Citrus Splash, Henlopen Pine, Wild Watermelon, Sex on the Beach, Jersey Girl, and Hot Chocolate among others.

Even though it is still cold, you have to think ahead.  Sandals.  I found a Cooling Foot Natural Food “Creme”.  This will do the job.

dscn1732

L.E.H. carries Soap & Scrub – soap and scrub all in one.  This particular product is not made by them.  I thought they looked perfect for the beach.

dscn1552

The Balm is a product that a bit goes a long way.  It is not greasy, and does not clog pores.  Perfect for soothing dry irritated skin.

dscn1731

Besides their own soaps, L.E.H. has French milled soaps, as well. “The French milling process ensures that each bar is consistent in color, fragrance, and texture.  The soaps last longer, and keep their shape.

dscn1561

dscn1551

French daily essentials for men.  The line from Mistral is everything a man would want for skin care and fragrance.  They have shaving cream, body and hair wash, exfoliating, and face scrub.  Women also buy some of these products.

dscn1559

Award-winning products from Billy Jealousy.  This company was founded in 2004 and has already won major magazine awards from Men’s Health & Esquire.  It is distributed to many countries worldwide and it is also used by many well-known celebrities.  Products for shaving, for the face, body, and hair.  They are made in Dallas, Texas.

dscn1553dscn1554

The soy candles are fantastic…hooked on the guava one.  The tower of miniature soy candles; these are perfect for the bathroom.

dscn1729dscn1557

Note:  Thanks L.E.H. Soap Company for your donation to Chicks for Charity Southern Delaware.  The lady that won was at my table.

Penny Lane Perfumes, Niche Perfumes, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware Beaches…Scent Aficionados, Great Prices on Presidents’ Week-End

dscn1466

Scent aficionados?  I think I am one of them.  I have to thank my sister in law, Susie, because for Christmas she gave me a gift certificate to Penny Lane Perfumes.  I wear a fragrance every single day.  I love it.  I also like clean scents.

Niche perfumes are those that are not mass produced.  You will not find them in large department stores.  And, you will also not smell like everyone else.  The fragrances are unique; they will last a long time.

Penny Lane Perfumes will be at the Penny Lane location, 42 Rehoboth Avenue, until Thursday, the 28th.  Until further notice, you will be able to visit their website, http://www.pennylaneperfumes.com and purchase fragrances online.  If you have any questions, you can e-mail pennylaneperfumes@gmail.com, and most likely, Cassandra will answer you immediately.

Fragrances are a luxury and an indulgence.  They are also expensive.  So, when I heard Penny Lane was awarding savings until they close the location, I went to cash in my gift certificate.

Both, John and Cassandra were there.  There was no rush.  I proceeded to try and ask questions.  This is what I chose.

From Serge Lutens…Nuuit de Cellophane.  Osmanthus?  The flower is white or tinged with orange.  The scent of jasmine laced with mandarin orange.  It was clean and fresh.  Love it!!

dscn1469

From James Heeley…Ophelia.  It is described as too pretty for words.  It exudes sensual femeninity and an eternal youth.  Jasmine, ylang ylang, and tuberose.  Fresh green, aquatic notes combined with orange flowers.  Very fresh!!

dscn1467

At times I like to layer the fragrances, but most of the time I just use a particular one each day, depending on my mood.

John fixed me that beautiful bag…inside?  Surprise…samples to try!!

dscn1470

One thing I learned the other day, while talking to John and Cassandra, was that we have that understanding that we should wear “heavier” perfumes during the winter, when in reality they should be worn in the summer, when heat makes the scents evaporate quickly.

So, if you are visiting our Delaware Beaches stop by…Penny Lane is open today, Sunday, Monday.  Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.  Last Day on Thursday, the 28th.  After that…I told you already what you have to do.

Talk to you later…
