For all of us that were there it was an amazing sight to see this giant whale.  I had never seen anything like it.  Thanks to MERR, we were able to understand more of what had happened.

There is time to still get tickets for a fun night in Rehoboth Beach.  The best part is that all proceeds will be donated to Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary.

Safe Haven is a No Kill Animal Sanctuary scheduled to open in 2011 on Shingle Point Road between Georgetown and Milton, Delaware.  With a proactive adoption policy they are expecting to care for about 2,000 animals annually in the sanctuary.  The animals who cannot be quickly adopted will then receive long-term housing or will live out their natural lives at Safe Haven.

It will be a true No Kill shelter which means that no cats or dogs will be put down unless they have untreatable and unmanageable medical conditions that cause pain which cannot be controlled.

For more information, please visit www.safehavensanctuary.com.
