I have noticed the traffic on Coastal Highway, up and down the Delaware Beaches, might have slowed down a bit during the week…but, on week-ends, it is just as hectic as summer.  Getting out of town for the beaches for some fun and relaxation!  It is a great time to experience Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach, and Fenwick Island.  These coastal towns have managed to capture the visitors’ attention.  Restaurants are open, tons of shops from boutiques to outlets, entertainment, including theatre, music, and fundraising events.  So, these are AboutMyBeaches picks if you are in Rehoboth Beach this first week-end of October.

Friday, 10/4 through Sunday, 10/6 – 37th ANNUAL FALL SIDEWALK SALE – Top merchandise at bargain prices…cleaning those shops to let the holiday merchandise have a little space.  If you like to bargain hunt, this is the week-end to come to Rehoboth Beach.  The sale will begin at 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.  Some store hours may vary.  The sidewalk sale also includes Dewey Beach.

Friday, 10/4 until Sunday, 10/27 – MINIATURES EXHIBITION from 5 to 7 p.m..  Free and open to the public at the Rehoboth Art League, located at 12 Dodds Lane in Henlopen Acres.  “Miniatures are personal objects that draw the viewer into an intimate concentrated little world that is breathtaking in its execution.  Every single detail is miniaturized.  They show a high standard of design and the artist’s mastery of the chosen media and palate.”  This is the first Miniature Show at the League, featuring artists from Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, Tennessee and California.  More info?  Visit http://www.rehobothartleague.org.  The website shows some of the miniatures.  Or, call 302-227-8408.

Doggies At The Beach, Premier Boarding Facility, 5th Year Anniversary, Cage Free, Overnight Care, Day Care, Grooming, Training, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware Beaches

I cannot believe that Doggies at the Beach is turning 5 years old on March 1st.  I have had my dog Addy, almost 3 years.  Time flies by.  I have also written posts about Doggies at the Beach in the past.  But, even before I had AboutMyBeaches or even Addy, I passed the word around.

Thanks to Renee who also takes her dogs to Doggies at the Beach I learned about this cage free facility.  That was the first thing that interested me.  I thought Addy had been in enough cages to last a lifetime.  Enough of them for her.

I fell in love with Jim and his staff.  They really love pets.  I feel very comfortable leaving her in their care.

Doggies at the Beach is located at 18806 John J. Williams Highway.  This is also Rt. 26.  It is right off Rt. 1.  Tel. 302-644-8200.  Website?  www.doggiesatthebeach.com.

Doggies at the Beach offers its customers a 2,400 square ft. indoor, cage free doggie day/night care facility.  Twenty four hour human supervision, 7 days a week.  The dogs are separated by size.  Plenty of toys available, as well as enough beds for their relaxation and comfort.  By the way, they also have private suites.  Climate controlled; your pooches will never be too hot or too cold.

If you are traveling, you can follow your pet’s daily routine; they have a webcam.

There are forms to fill out and vaccinations forms to be sent; a temperament evaluation also is required.  This is just to make sure your dog gets along with other dogs.

Doggies at the Beach has grooming available and a vet day with discounted prices.  You can visit the above mentioned website for more information.

In honor of their 5th anniversary, Doggies at the Beach will be offering all bathing and grooming dogs a 20% discount to bring back the pricing from 5 years ago.  Please mention that you read this post and receive 20% off bathing and grooming.  Offer ends March 2nd.

In addition to the above, for the week of Sunday, February 26th to Saturday, March 3rd, Doggies at the Beach will be offering Day Care prices rolled back to 5 years ago.  The pricing will be $21 per day the entire week!!!!  Please mention this post in order to get this $21 daycare pricing.  Offer ends March 4th.
