This past year P.U.P.S. moved just one block down from where they were originally located. The new address is 123 Second Street, Lewes, DE 19958. Tel. 302-645-9010 and the website is www..pupsoflewes.com. The shop is owned by Lesley Bowers.
I stopped by the other day to get my dog, Addy, a new collar. She has been wearing hers for so long and I thought she deserved something new. Spoiled, that’s what she is.
The new shop is full of everything needed for your dog or cat. I went directly to the collar section and there were so many to choose from and so cute. They also have collars for cats; the store is not just a dog store.
Shampoos? Natural? You got it.
Weather gear? There, as well.
Treats for the holidays and stucking stuffers? So much for that special pet in your life.
There are a few things for the human kind; socks and sleepwear.
Anyway, Addy has been wearing her new collar. She is happy.
If you are in Lewes, stop by the store will bring a smile to your face.
Note: The sport jerseys are a big hit, and no, I did not get her the Ravens one.

The sign says “Pawsitively” Unique Pet Shop and you are going to be so impressed because it is so cute.
I had been to this shop before I rescued Addy, my dog. Now, I have more reasons to visit, not only to put a post on my blog but to get her a few treats.
I took so many pictures because I really wanted you to get a feel for the shop. I smiled when I came in. Amidst all the colors, leashes, treats, dog beds and cat nip, I relaxed. Just like when you pet your dog or cat or any pet you may have. It feels so good.
The pet shop is called P.U.P.S. and it has been in Lewes for about 4 1/2 years. The address is 123 Second Street, Lewes, DE 19958. This is the main street and where you will find most of the restaurants and shops. The telephone is 302-645-9010, and the website is www.pupsoflewes.com. The e-mail address is info@pupslewes.com. Leslie Bowers is the owner and is an AKC Evaluator. She also belongs to the A.P.D.T. which is the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
Leslie was not there today, but Diane Miller was and she graciously showed me everything. I will mention a few things but their website is so good that if you are a pet owner, you really should check it out. You will find photos, information and upcoming events, its history and philosophy.
P.U.P.S. accepts major credit cards and orders may be placed on the website.
It is important to note that every single treat in the store is natural and made in the U.S.A. One example of that is a company in Long Neck, near Lewes, called Tailbangers. Their pastries looked amazing with beautiful shapes and icings. They have become so popular that, I believe, they are sold nationwide.
The special signs are made by Driftwood Desigs, which is a local company, as well. You can see one in the picture.
Another popular company that specializes in leashes and harnesses is Up Country Collars and Leashes. They are from Rhode Island.
Soft harnesses are a big seller and Puppia is one of the main companies that make them. They are good for small dogs.
Earth Dog collars is another brand carried by P.U.P.S. There are so many choices that I am sure you will find the perfect one at this pet shop.
Travel supplies, training information, spa products, safety items; so many products and a lifetime to try them all.
I am not leaving the cats behind. For them, the pet shop has collars, toys, treats, catnip apples and cigars. One brand called Ducky World which is organic catnip and toys, is made in Vermont and Diane said they are very unique.
Since the holidays are around the corner, there is a special place in the store with holiday surprises for stocking stuffers or “just because” toys and treats.
One of the upcoming events is a Pet Photo Contest. So, if you are the type that is always taking pictures of your pet, then this might be your opportunity to show him or her off. You can drop off the photos from December 1st until December 31st at the shop in Lewes. You can enter into 3 categories, if you want; Most Adorable, Silliest, and Best in Show.
Now all you have to do is get that camera ready, smile and start shooting.
