It is a gorgeous day at the Delaware Beaches and pretty soon the Downtown Rehoboth Beach will be celebrating another festival week-end!!
Plenty of places to stop for coffee in Rehoboth Beach, but Cafe A Go-Go, located in the heart of Downtown Rehoboth Beach at 102 Rehoboth Avenue has amazing coffee. Served with a smile by Jesus and Maria Ramirez; you are really going to be impressed with their coffee. Tel. 302-227-1099.
Cafe A Go-Go has been a fixture in Rehoboth for so many years now. It is comfortable, spotless, and a great place to hang out in the morning, not just to have coffee but to also have something to eat.
They serve bagels, bagel sandwiches, wraps and other goodies for easy eating at the beach.
Their Mexican Mocha can turn out to be my daily addiction. Stop by and try it!!
Jesus and Maria also serve green tea smoothies, and they do have gluten free oatmeal!!
Have a great time at the beach….Jesus and Maria also speak Spanish in case you want to practice you language.

I arrived at Downtown Rehoboth Beach about 7 a.m. on Sunday. The fog was pretty thick. The town was pretty quiet. The Rehoboth Beach marathon runners must have been exhausted after such a busy Saturday.
Cake Break was open, as usual. Debbie, Bill and their staff are on the go 24/7. How they do it? I really don’t know. On Saturday, they were at Cake Break at 4 a.m. in order to get ready for the runners.
I was in need of a bold cup of coffee. Cake Break is located at 7 South First Street. It is the heart of Rehoboth Beach. Tel. 302-260-9264. Website? http://www.cakebreakrehoboth.com. They open every day at 7 a.m.
This is a nut free facility. So if you have an allergy to peanuts, you don’t have to worry. They offer gluten free and vegan baked goods. And, they have good news….visit the website above mentioned and you will notice that you can buy gluten free and vegan breads, cupcakes and muffins online.
It is the Holiday Season and Debbie showed me the Holiday Gingerbread House. You can order it just like you see it, here on the photo, or just order one house. Whatever you want, they can do it. Just give them a call.
Another Holiday Season favorites are the Pull Apart Cakes made out of cupcakes. Coming out of the kitchen were the Christmas and the Nutcracker. They also have yule logs and stollens.
I thought the mini bites looked great and perfect for a party. Just pick them up and pop them in your mouth.
Fresh Jewish Apple Cakes with 2 layers of apples were just baked.
Giant chocolate ship cookies…..I resisted.
Biscotti…Chocolate, Bailey’s & Chocolate & Fruit.
Croissants: Butter, Raspberry Cream Cheese, Blueberry Cream Cheese, and Chocolate.
The Rum Raising Bread Pudding was still so warm.
And, the sticky buns were too tempting…still, I resisted.
I have had the Gluten Free & Vegan Blueberry Muffin and I can tell you that it is very good. Moist and just the right amount of sweetness.
After chatting with Debbie and Bill, it was time to go home with my chocolate gluten free cupcakes with cream cheese icing.
Cake Break cupcakes are dense and a great treat. You just have to try them and see for yourself.
Have a good one!!

It was late afternoon, a little cloudy in Rehoboth Beach, and a slight chill in the air. A cup of coffee to recharge was in order. On Thursday afternoon Rehoboth was somewhat quiet; plenty of parking available, which I loved.
My son, Michael and I decided to stop at The Coffee Mill, located in the Rehoboth Mews “Alleyway”, at 127 B Rehoboth Avenue. Tel. 302-227-7530. Website? http://www.coffeemillrehoboth.com. The Coffee Mill is currently celebrating its 20 years in Downton Rehoboth Beach. It opens at 7 a.m. year-round. Please check the website for online shopping and shipping by visiting http://www.coffeemillrehoboth.com/order.htm. Orders are freshly ground and shipped within 24 hours.
As we came in the feeling was that this was a true coffee shop. We met Vit, our Barista. The Coffee Mill has over 100 coffees and teas. Every day there are 6 different coffee blends available.
The coffee shop offers periodicals, art, t-shirts, wireless internet, and outdoor seating, as well.
I knew exactly what I wanted the moment I saw it. A large Breve. Breve is short for espresso. Have it with half & half or semi skimmed milk. The half & half increases the amount of foam. Vit outdid himself. I can confidently say that it was the best coffee I have had in Rehoboth Beach.
We proceeded to sit outside under the red umbrella to enjoy our coffee indulgence; tables are set up and down the alleyway.
The Coffee Mill’s specialty is coffee, but they also serve baked goods, sandwiches and salads.
Their new products are “Coffee in The Raw”….check them out.
Do you want to follow them on Facebook and Twitter?
Soooo…if you are looking for a really good cup of coffee, now you know where to go!! Talk to you later.

Break fast in Downtown Rehoboth Beach with friends? Breakfast is when I usually get together; more so than lunch, I would say. It is in the a.m. when try to catch up with events happening in our lives; then off to do whatever else we, usually, have to do.
In the past few weeks I have visited The Gallery Espresso located at 70 Rehoboth Ave., right in Dowtown Rehoboth Beach. They are at 1st Street Station, on the corner of 1st St. and Rehoboth Avenue. It is the south side of the ocean block. Tel. 302-231-2113. Website? www.thegalleryespresso.com. You can find them on Twitter as The Gallery Espresso and on Facebook as Gallery Espresso. John is the owner and you will usually find him behind the counter, along with some of his staff.
This is a coffee shop with a twist; an art gallery and retail store on one side. John has local artists exhibiting in his coffee shop. Their art is for sale. John is also an artist working on different projects and would be more than happy to show you around.
Comfortable sofas, free Wi-Fi, high top tables, as well as regular tables are available for the patrons.
On a nice day you can sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. Pets are welcomed on their patio.
Enjoy one of their bold coffees served in one large cup; my preference. Add one of their freshly baked cookies.
John and his staff are friendly and can give you suggestions, depending of what you are in the mood for.
Place your order at the counter; food will be brought to the table. Check the webiste for their menus.
The other day I wanted to try a crepe. I chose the broccoli and chicken. Two large crepes arrived. No way you will complain, here, not having enough food. It was almost plenty for two people.
The next time when I visited I asked if I could only have one crepe. That time I chose the ham and cheese with a light cheese sauce on top. That was the perfect size for me.
The Gallery Espresso makes everything fresh. They even have some vegan and gluten free items. Please call the above mentioned number if you are interested in any, and see if on that particular day, it will be available.
Other friends have had the scrambled egg platter.
And, another that calls herself an expert on eggwhite scrambles also enjoyed a nice breakfast.
The Gallery Espresso opens every day. Besides breakfast they offer plenty more. It is casual and relaxing; stay as long as you want.
Have a great day!!
