What’s Happening Delray Beach?, A Village by the Sea Celebrates St. Patty’s Day, Delray is Ready for the Biggest Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in South Florida, Palm Beach County, 2:00 p.m. until…
The couple of the picture defined happiness today. They were having so much fun. I met them at the Delray Green Market. Their attitude towards life as a couple made me smile. They enjoy life, as a whole. I want to thank them for posing.
Originally the color was blue. As early as the 17th century green ribbons and shamrocks were used. Saint Patrick is said to have used the shamrock, a 3-leaved plant to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish.
The celebration today on Atlantic Avenue, in Delray Beach is something to be seen. I took a walk to see how this town prepares for a parade of this magnitude. Well, guess what? They were ready; barricades, security, cameras, you name it. The visitors and residents have been partying since early.
Delray Beach is a master in setting up a fair. Up and down in a blink of an eye. Last year, this paraded attracted over 87,000 visitors.
Here are the pictures of a town getting ready for the parade of the year.
I saw the hot dog stand and could not resist having one.
It really is so pretty outside….have a great day!!…talk to you later….
