Greek Festival, 21st Annual Greek Festival, Convention Center, Ocean City, Maryland, 7/30/10 – 8/1/10

You better take your appetite and dancing shoes. This event is for the entire family.  It is the 21st Annual Greek Festival sponsored by St. George Greek Orthodox Church.  Tel 410-524-0900.

The Festival will take place:  Friday and Saturday Noon until 11 p.m., Sunday Noon until 9 p.m. There is an admission fee.  Location:  Ocean City Convention Center located at 40th St. and the Bay.

Expertly prepared tradional Greek cuisine – mousaka, pastsitso, stuffed grape leaves, baklava; made by professional Yiayias (Greek Grand Mammas).

Food will be served all day starting at Noon.  And, carry out is available, as well.

There will be vendors featuring original and reproduction art, jewelry and clothing.  Raffle tickets available.  Greek band after 5 p.m.  Traditional dance performances by the Hellenics.

    July 29-31 The Ocean City Convention Center is transformed into a Greek village. All the traditional Greek cuisine favorite are offered daily from 12 Noon on, eat in or carry out.

    Beat the heat in the spacious, air conditioned hall while having a leisurely lunch, a Greek coffee and a sweet, then shop at the 25 vendors of imports, art, jewelry and “Best Odds in Town 1:100 chance to win $5000 for your own Greek Island vacation.

    At night dine on sumptuously prepared Pasitiso, Spanakopita or a melt in your mouth lamb shank,while enjoying the traditional Greek Folk dance performances of Baltimore’s finest Evangelikia dance group. Then rock the house, Greekstyle ;), with The Zepharos Band. Come and enjoy the festival where everyone is considered Greek this week end!

    My family attended this festival last year and loved it. My daugher bought an adjustable ring wtih the Greek eyes on it and recently lost it while swimming. She has been very upset every since. Could you please provide some contact information for the folks who ran that booth last year? I would appreciate it. Also, when is the festival this year? We are coming to Ocean City next week.
