A couple of weeks ago my friend, Sharon, and I stopped by Ish. This boutique is located at 3408 Coastal Hwy., Ocean City, MD 21842. Website? http://www.ishshop.com
The owner of Ish is Christina Lawson. A very dedicated and fun young woman who is taking this boutique to a different level. It is basically, a women’s boutique but she has a little bit for everyone….almost every woman could find something here for her, for the home, gifts and even for babies.
Here is Christina with my friend, Sharon. It was the opening for the 2019 season. Ish is opening in a few weeks in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware at 403 Rehoboth Ave. Already, as I drive by the store in Rehoboth it looks like it is getting ready. The light and airy lifestyle of our beaches is something that will be seen throughout the store.
Make sure you check out the website because they do offer online shopping.
Look at some of the things we found at Ish in Ocean City.
Over the years I have always said that there is nothing better than the personal touch of a boutique. Stay in touch and keep because I believe the opening is the week-end of May 3rd.
Anyway, at least stop by and say hello. You will fall in love with her.
Until next time….I hope your Easter Sunday is grand.

I called this post day tripping because that’s exactly what it was. Driving to Easton from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, takes a little bit over an hour. I take the back roads. Easton is the jewel of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. It is a very sophisticated town with much history.
My first stop was to have lunch with Louise and Powell at The Hunters’ Tavern inside the Tidewater Inn, located at 101 East Dover St., Easton, MD 21601. This is a beautiful historic hotel; very centrally located. Tel. 410-822-1300 Website? http://www.tidewaterinn.com.
The Hunters’ Tavern has indoor and outdoor seatings. Tel. 410-822-1300 Website? http://www.tidewaterinn.com/dine/hunters-tavern. The restaurant is well aware of customers with a gluten allergy. Check the website.
We started with the Snappy Turtle Soup. This soup is tomato based. It is totally delicious. I have had it before, I have written about it before….and now I am doing it again. Don’t forget to add plenty of Sherry. And if you want to take some home, they have it to go, as well. Just tell them how much you want.
We had 2 salads: Nuts & Berries with mixed greens, strawberries, candied walnuts and Chapel Bay Bleu Cheese. Light and refreshing.
The Bibb Salad had a champagne terragon vinegar dressing, and Chapel Bay Bleu Cheese. It was accompanied by Blackened Ahi Tuna. This was my salad and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
No dessert….time to hit the town.
SHOPPING:
Some time ago I saw a boutique called Marc Randall. I wanted to check it out. Easton has so many stores, but this particular one is different. Women’s fun and fine apparel. Unique handbags and jewelry. The location is 3 Dover St. Tel. 410-820-4077. Website? http://www.marcrandall.com. The shop is shophisticated with cutting edge appeal. Everything is different from the rest of the shops in Easton.
The Ket Sao collection of jewelry caught my attention….These pieces of jewelry are beautiful accents to your wardrobe for Summer 2014. I loved the mixed metal and beaded jewelry.
You can read more about this jewelry by visiting http://www.chickboss.com. This company is helping young Guatemalans and when you purchase a piece of jewelry, you are helping too. The metals are sealed to retard the natural oxidation process. You can clean it with a polishing cloth if needed. Store it in a dry place. That’s all the care you need.
Next time in Easton stop by and meet Marc. He is very friendly.
PLEIN AIR EASTON ART FESTIVAL
This Art Festival is held every year in July. It is the largest and most prestigious juried plein air painting competition in the U.S. Instead of producing art in a studio, Plein Air Painters produce art from life. There is representation from all over the U.S. and beyond.
Last year’s art sales totaled $325,000 with 313 paintings sold in two and a half days. Approximately, 6,000 to 8,000 people participate in the festival throughout the week.
You have ambition and $10…then you are in Plein Air Easton’s Quick Draw. Plen Air Easton is at the center of the modern plein air movement.

An institution!!! If you have survived the ups and downs of the economy for 37 years anywhere, you know you are offering your customers something that keeps them coming back. That’s how I feel about Basic Concepts, located at 149 Rehoboth Avenue at the Village-by-The-Sea Shops in Downtown Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Tel. 302-227-8688.
Our lifestyle at the Delaware Beaches is casual and relaxed. You can wear clothing during the day, add a little accessory or two and you are good to go to the restaurants, bars, and music venues. Rehoboth Beach is a destination for dining, and shopping, as well. In Downtown Rehoboth Beach, the shopkeepers are friendly and you can walk from one store to another with ease, especially, this time of the year.
Last year I bought an easy to wear jacket from Basic Concepts by a California company called Focus. Every time I wear it, people notice and pay me compliments. Wanting to continue on that trend, I decided to stop by and visit Patty Watson, the owner and operator of Basic Concepts. She had new colors and styles….she was also decorating for the Holidays. Basic Concepts opens every day.
Accessories…
I love Before + Again tees….they are made in the U.S. They wear so well; throw them in the wash, then the dryer and they look like brand new.
So, as you visit Rehoboth Beach….make sure you Stop & Shop Local…and Tax Free!!
So, out and about I found myself with a friend, Cathy, that I had not seen for years. Lunch in Lewes and a stroll through this historic town that it is the First Town in the First State. The historic shopping district in Lewes looks beautiful; quaint streets, flowers, and friendly shopkeepers.
AQUAMARINE – This women’s apparel and accessories shop is fully stocked for the season. The colors scream summer.
The next two stores are located next to each other in Historic Lewes; Beach Jetty and Two Friends, Ltd.

TWO FRIENDS, LTD – Great store with very unique items for the home; door knockers, art, pillows, gifts, bags…and jewelry, carrying the exclusive Lewes Necklace by Lily Designs.

It is one of those days. Rehoboth Beach, Delaware is starting to open its gates. Today, the sidewalk sales are taking center stage….but the gorgeous day, is certainly one of those where you just want to park yourselves on those beach chairs and relax!
On the north side of town by Whiskey Beach people are taking the advantage of the warm weather.
On Rehoboth Avenue…it was a race to find the perfect parking space just in case you were carrying too many sidewalk sale purchases.
Out and about in downtown Rehoboth Beach…the pictures tell a story…get there before it is all picked over.
Sole is a very cute shop located at 110 Rehoboth Avenue. Tel. 302-2276500. It has plenty of good looking clothes and accessories for women.

The Best Little Black Dress also from Dian Von Furstenberg.

Local shops, independent owners are what Downtown Rehoboth Beach is all about. You stop, you chat, and you might even become friends. Downtown Rehoboth Beach is so walkable; only one square mile. At this time of the year, the town looks great. The lights are beautiful and the merchants have gone all out to make sure that you have a great shopping experience…Holiday Sales!!
I have stopped a couple of times in the past month at Crysti. This shop is located at 33 Baltimore Avenue; one block north of Rehoboth Avenue and one block west of the Boardwalk. It is in the courtyard of “The Shops at 33 Baltimore Avenue”. Tel. 302-227-2874. Website? http://www.crysti-rehoboth.com.
Crysti is celebrating 30 years in Rehoboth Beach. This shop has seen Rehoboth Beach turn into a year round resort. It did not use to be that way. It was a seasonal kind of town. Over the years Rehoboth Beach has done a great job in bringing the visitors during the summer and then bringing them back for a second season. Full of festivals, entertainment and a dining destination, as well.
Visitors love to shop in Delaware…tax free shopping. And the ones that are making this area their permanent home, are enjoying low property taxes.
If you are in Rehoboth this week-end, Crysti is a must stop shop. The entire store is 25% off, including Brighton. This holiday sale will be through Sunday, as well. Gift wrapping is also available.
And during the week-end, they will be serving cocoa and cookies. Definitely, stop and say hello.
Let me introduce you to Joyce and Crysti. Joyce is on the left and she is the Manager. Crysti, on the right is the owner.
Crysti is casual….that’s the best part of living at the beach. The relaxed attitude at our beaches is reflected in a lot of the clothing and accessories carried in many of our unique shops. At Crysti, you will find sweaters, scarves, jeans, jewelry, and bags. Plenty of gifts, as well.
Really, do stop by….the merchandise changes but their personal service and attention is always the same….great! Have a nice week-end!! The weather will be warm for this time of the year at the Beaches!

The idea is to stroll Rehoboth Beach, find great deals, enjoy great food, and check the local art. Proceeds from the wristbands you purchase for $10 will go to local charities. The Rehoboth Elementary Art Docent Program and Nikki May Cancer Fund will be the recipients.
This is the 2nd Annual Rehoboth Cocoa Crawl, with so many participating stores and restaurants. Even though it is only in its 2nd year, it is becoming an event not to be missed. Downtown Rehoboth Beach is such a walkable town; the merchants are so friendly. Should be fun!!
So the place to be on Friday, 11/2, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. is Downtown Rehoboth Beach. Enjoy delectable drinks with and without spirits!! Activities for the young ones!! You can purchase the wristbands at tents in First Street Station and in front of Heidi Lowe Gallery. They can also be purchased at WSFS branches, Azura Clothing, South Moon Under, Carltons & Bellmoor prior to the event. The purchase of a wristband enters you to win over $2,000 grand prize drawing at the end of the evening. You must be present to win.
The connection of Azura Clothing to Rehoboth Cocoa Crawl is simple. Its owner, Alyssa Titus, is also the founder and force behind Rehoboth Cocoa Crawl. I stopped today at Azura to take a few pictures. Afterall, it should be featured on this post. Putting together these kinds of events takes a lot of dedication. Alyssa has a family and juggles the dynamics of a family and a business, or two for that matter. She also owns, Clad, which is located at the First Street Station, in Downtown Rehoboth Beach.
Chatting with Alyssa, I found out that she is also a designer. She has her own label. And, she has been in the business for a long time.
This has not been my first visit to Azura. But, it has been the first visit in which I have to pay more attention to detail. First impression? I liked it. The store is bright and full of merchandise. If you are attending the Rehoboth Cocoa Crawl you are going to be pleasantly surprised.
I can see why Alyssa likes the quote; “A woman creates her style and fashion”. Alyssa told me that she looks for very unique pieces. The ones that can set you apart from the rest. She blends styles very well; trendy, casual, and classic.
Azura Clothing also carries jewelry by designer Charles Albert. He designs very unique pieces of jewelry. Pretty much one-of-a-kind creations. Alchemia “zero karat gold” infuses a blend of base metals to simulate the look and feel of 18k gold, but very affordable. This new allow is nickel-free, lead-free, and hypoallergenic.
Please note that Azura Clothing also has its own line of lotions, body and hair care. All made by Azura here in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
Shopping in the boutiques of our coastal towns, here at the Delaware Beaches, where you get personal attention is pretty nice….talk to you later.
I was walking around in Downtown Rehoboth Beach when I decided to stop at Tiger Lili to find a present for one of my best friends. There were a couple of celebrations going her way and I knew I would find something different at Tiger Lili, located at 18 Rehoboth Avenue. Tiger Lili has another location at the Tanger Outlets on Coastal Highway, as well.
I guess this post is for women only. Tiger Lili specializes in unique handbags, clothing, jewelry, and accessories at very affordable prices. You can find Tiger Lili on Facebook. Tel. 302-226-0731. It opens year-round.
No outfit is complete without accessories. You will find plenty at Tiger Lili. Plus, you will get personal service. I have mentioned many times that the shopkeepers and the staff that work the shops in Downtown Rehoboth Beach are very personable. They become friends. That’s what I love about shopping in town. You can’t beat that one on one interaction; no rush, either.
Meet Lili Kohr. She is the owner of Tiger Lili. She is originally from Panama so we were able to practice our Spanish. Her clothing and accessories are more cutting edge; different from the rest. And, by the way, she was Mrs. Delaware 2008.
So…let’s not snooze and lose. What are we waiting for? There are sales going on Downtown Rehoboth Beach. Let’s stop writing and start shopping!! This is Tiger Lili.
Sweaters, scarves and handbags.
The weather has turned cooler…it’s that time of the year!!
