What can I say, really, searching is half the fun!!  And, the tradition continues….

So far, Summer 2013, has brought many events to Dewey Beach….besides, restaurants, bars, music venues, the ocean and the bay, they have even had a Running of the Bull!!  Dewey knows how to have fun and it is the craziest town on the East Coast…..The 3rd Annual Dewey Beach Scavenger Hunt will take place Saturday, August 3rd.

Hurry up and register because right now is only $30/team (4-8pp).  Believe me, this price will increase as the date approaches.  You can register your team today by visiting http://www.lindypromo.com.  Please remember that all team members must be $21 years of age and over.

Get your imagination running because team themes and costumes are greatly encouraged!  Bonus points will be awarded to the best teams.

During The Hunt scavengers will search Dewey Beach to find items and clues, solve puzzles, take pictures, answer trivia and visit bars in the wildest scavenger hunt you’ve ever seen.

Enjoy $2 Miller Lite Aluminum Pints all day at 12 Dewey bars!

Compete for Great Prizes including:  Miller Lite Beach Packs, Coolers, Tickets, Bar Tabs, and other great prizes!

There will be a Pre-Party & Registration at The Starboard, located on Highway One, from Noon until 2 p.m.

The Hunt will begin at 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. throughout Dewey Beach & 12 Bars!!!

Participating Bars:  The Starboard, Gary’s Dewey Beach Grill, Scully’s, Hammerheads, Woody’s, McShea’s, Grotto’s, Lighthouse, Que Pasa, Port, Nalu, and Whiskey House.

Post-Party & Awards will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at The Starboard.

Activities in Downtown Rehoboth Beach when cloudy and rainy…Boardwalk Arcades, Bookstore, Museums…and the Movies, Delaware Beaches, Southern Delaware

Not the perfect beach day?  The kids might be driving you crazy, right?  The following info. might let you still enjoy a day at the Delaware Beaches when the weather does not cooperate.

The Arcades – Right on our beautiful Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk.

The Beach Arcade – Next to Dolles at 5 North Boardwalk.  Tel. 302-227-1040.

Playland Arcade – South of the Boardwalk.

Surfside Arcade – South of the Boardwalk.

Funland’s Arcade, right at Funland, also south of the Boardwalk.  http://www.funlandrehoboth.com.  Funland is also a historic family amusement center. Rides, games and arcade.

Jolly Trolley

The Jolly Trolley is a way to travel from Downtown Rehoboth Beach to Dewey Beach.  Just hop on and take a round trip.

Bookstores

Some of the bookstores offer story times and activities.

Anna Hazzard – Early story of Rehoboth Beach as a religious retreat through artifacts and memorabilia.  The Museum is in one of the original “tent” houses from Rehoboth 1870s camp meeting era.  It is located at 17 Christian St.  Tel. 302-226-1119.

Rehoboth Beach Museum – It is located by the roundabout in Downtown Rehoboth Beach.  It is also the home of the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society.  Check the World War II: Rehoboth Beach exhibit which will be on display until March of 2013.  Website?  http://www.rehobothbeachmuseum.org.
