Saketumi, Restaurant, Asian Fusion, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware Beaches

Another night in Rehoboth Beach. But not really. Valentine’s Day and Ash Wednesday; the beginning of Lent.

A stop to Saketumi to join some that already had a table full of delicious food. Saketumi came to Rehoboth Beach years ago. Located at 18814 Coastal Hwy. They have a presence on Social Media, as well. I have written about them in the past. You can put on the Search Saketumi and check it out.

Saketumi opens for Lunch and Dinner. Let’s not forget that they have a vibrant Happy Hour which is very well attended.

For Valentine’s Day they had that gorgeous offering but take a look at them up close. Who wouldn’t like that?
I love sitting at the bar or at the tables on that section. Getting a closer look at what is being served.

Saketumi offers a variety of Asian cuisine. The colors are vibrant and our senses react well to them.

This Lettuce Wrap & Roll I do like it there. I know I can make it but once in a while I order it. I made it just in time to get a few rolls.

A favorite served as Sashimi is the Torched Tuna above. Jalapeños, red tobiko or flying fish roe, chives, masago crackers, and spicy ponzu sauce.

The Yellow Tail served in a similar manner I also ordered. All I can say is Yum!?

Always ask for fresh Wasabi. So much better.

Another roll for Sophia, my granddaughter and the yougest foodie I know. Please double the fish roe?

Sophia continued to eat and tell us stories as she enjoyed her Pho.

Sharing meals is a social bonding. It provides us an opportunity to come together, laugh and share experiences.

I love it. AboutMyBeaches is on Facebook and Instagram. Check us out.

Saketumi, Rehoboth Beach, Restaurant, Open for Lunch, Open for Dinner, Sunday Brunch, Review, Plenty of Parking, Delaware Beaches

Have you ever been in Rehoboth Beach on a rainy day?  Plenty of those days lately.  When will it end?  Hopefully, soon.  Getting stuck in traffic while visitors are trying to figure out what to do, when pretty much everything is geared for the outdoors.

Saketumi is located at 18814 Highway One (Coastal Highway) in Rehoboth Beach.  Plenty of parking available.  So, on rainy days, at the height of the summer season, you don’t really want to spend your time looking for parking.  Their telephone is 302-645-2818.

Saketumi is open for lunch and dinner.  On Wednesdays they have great Bento Box Specials.  They also offer Sunday Brunch from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I always sit at the bar.  I try to sit in front of Tanaka San.  He is Saketumi’s Sous Chef.  An artist, whose presentations are just gorgeous.  Watch him work taking time for his dishes to be just right.  And, they do have fresh Wasabi; for me, a must.

When you sit at the bar, Tanaka will present you with a small bowl full of fish, cucumber, rice vinegar and Mirin…just to wet your appetite.

A little chat with Manager, Kim, is always a pleasure.

I had the Sunset Roll with Spicy Tuna, eel, cucumber topped with salmon, yellowtail, and sliced avocado with sweet goma and mild chili oil.

Note:  During the hectic summer season, and on week-ends I would make a reservation.

I almost forgot….Saketumi has gluten free soy sauce.

Have a great week-end!!
