Have you been to Bethany Beach this week? The town is full of color with gorgeous flowers everywhere. Bethany is getting ready for Summer 2014 and so can you!
Whether you live in Bethany year-round or you arrive for a summer vacation, it is great to have your own time once in a while even if on vacation. Kristina Isom is the new owner of Mind, Body & Sole. This is a Wellness Center and Spa just blocks from Downtown Bethany Beach. Escape for a few hours or bring your friends to relax and get together after a day at the beach.
Kristina is so excited to own her business. She is a License Esthetician who has been in the Bethany area for years and was waiting for the opportunity to open her own spa. Ionic Detox, Manicures, Pedicures, Massage Therapy, Facials, and Make-Up are some of her services. She will also be offering onsite Spa parties, as well.

It just happened to me, so this post is so, how shall I say it, “apropos”? You go away from your immediate surroundings and things just happen. Oh, I forgot to tell you that I took a trip to Delray Beach, Florida. My neighbor asked “not hot enough here, in Delaware, for you?”
South Florida is not, at the present time, the sunshine state. Actually, it is pouring and so far the car did not start; AAA, here in not time and car left on a flat bed. Computer? Not connected to the internet, why would it? So, that’s why it has taken so long to post. Weather? Hot and humid, but I did not expect it any different.
Quiet, though. The Village by the Sea is in its Second Season; I like it that way.
I have my own “Angie’s list”. My, AboutMyBeaches List. Tried and true by me. As I try new services at the Delaware Beaches, you will be the first ones to know.
Car: It happens; hopefully, you will not need these 2 services.
Rehoboth Auto Repair – Located at 20669 Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach. This is called the Forgotten Mile; right between Rehoboth and Dewey Beach on Rt. 1. Tel. 302-227-0633. Brakes, road service, tune ups…it is a full service shop. Mary is usually at the phone. You know what so great about them? When you call, it is when do you want to come in, not, well, we can’t take care of you until next week. They open 7 days a week; reasonable too.
Lewes Body Works – Located at 16205 New Road, Lewes, DE 19958. Tel. 302-645-5595. Website? www.lewesbodyworks.com. This company’s expertise is automotive collision repair. The owner is Richard Perez. He is great: fast and dependable. From small to very big jobs. The site is immaculate. Very professional.
By the way, it is the only shop of this type that has a gorgeous koi pond. It puts you at ease immediatly. Good idea Richard; it is traumatic enough having to have this type of work done on your car.
Rehoboth Home Services – Located in Rehoboth Beach, but doing work up and down the Delmarva Peninsula. Haven’t you seen the pink and green trucks driving around? I just used them for junk removal. Computers – You love them when they work and hate them when they don’t!! Computer Repair is owned by Timothy Bixby. You can contact him at 302-542-8642. He makes housecalls!! Slow performance, data recovery, lessons, custom built PC’s, upgrades, wireless set-up and networking. I have used Tim for years and I am happy to recommend him.
Website Development, Design, Hosting and so much more….personal attention is what I liked when I was deciding on who to choose to create my website. Ed Timmons is the owner of 4c, Inc. Power Washing – I have used SuperClean for several years. They power wash houses, roofs gutters; residential and commercial. Kevin Lougheed is the owner of this company. Tel. 302-542-1182. Fax: 302-945-5108. After all that pollen this spring, I had my house power washed; decks, gutters, you name it. They were very meticulous on getting everything cleaned.

Doggies at the Beach – I have written so much about this dog day care, boarding, grooming, and training facility. Jim is at the helm. It is cage free with 24-hour human supervision. I got an e-mail from Noreen who loves The Bellmoor Spa. She is also a reader of this blog. She thought a visit to the Spa would make a good post. To tell you the truth, I have been meaning to take advantage of this Spa which is located right in the center of Rehoboth Beach. Now that it is getting warmer, I am almost ready to put my winter clogs away and take out the flip flops and sandals.
So, on Wednesday I went. Let me tell you a bit about The Bellmoor Spa. First of all, it is located in the elegant, The Bellmoor Inn, 6 Christian St., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971. Website? www.thebellmoor.com. The Bellmoor Inn has world class accommodations. Here are a few pictures of the Inn.
The Spa is located on the second floor of the Inn. Open to the public; you do not have to be a guest of the Inn in order to take advantage of their many services.
I was reading what Dr. Susan Biali has said about the reasons you should still go to a Spa, even in tough times. She is an internationally recognized wellness expert, life coach, speaker and writer. To know more about her, visit www.susanbiali.com.
She said that people think that going to a Spa is an “extra, inessential splurge”. But, think again, taking care of ourselves (men also) is essential for our mental and physical health, more so in tough times. A visit to a Spa reduces stress; it gives a boost to your mood.

The Bellmoor Spa is a day spa and offers a variety of packages; from rejuvenating facials to full body massages, scrubs and couples’ treatments. There are also Men Only Packages between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Just remember that it is limited to the first 4 men that arrive per night. You know how men are. They certainly don’t want to sit there with all of us. They need their special time, as well.

Erin Dickerson was going to take care of my pedicure. She also can do skin care and massage.
The nail room was waiting for me with nice, warm and foaming soaking water. Great. I chose more of an orange color for my nails.
Erin and I talked and got to know one another. She really was very professional and I really had forgotten how nice getting a pedicure felt. It really was a treat.
I cannot believe I am putting the picture of my feet “after” the pedicure. But, here it is.
Erin gave me a tour of the other rooms, as well. Depending on your service, you will be directed to a specific room.
There is another room for couples or friends that want to experience a spa treatment together.
The Bellmoor Spa has gift certificates available. They also have a Weekday Massage Special that is running until Memorial Day Week-End. You can enjoy a 50 minute Swedish Massage for $55 (usually $95) Sundays through Thursdays. Please ask for Tina to take advantage of this limited time offer. Just remember that it does not include gratuities. It is limited to one service per person, daily, and not valid in conjunction with other promotions.
I think you will enjoy it. And, there is plenty of parking available.
