This indulgence is, definitely, worth it. Scents, at times they define who you are. Some just like soap and water. They say they don’t need anything else. Others, like me, love the idea of light and green scents. I wear perfume every single day.
I really don’t want the same scent as everyone else. This is where this perfume store comes in. Niche perfumes are not mass produced. You will not find them in department stores. That should get your interest. These designers have control.
Penny Lane Perfumes picks and chooses who is represented in their shop. It is located at 42 Rehoboth Avenue in Downtown Rehoboth Beach. Right in the Penny Lane Mall. The owner is Cindy Carey; the manager is Cassandra Parker. Tel.302- 226-2444. Website? http://www.pennylaneperfumes.com.
A visit to Penny Lane was on Thanksgiving week-end. It was the perfect time. Right before Black Friday on a beautiful day in Rehoboth Beach. When my sister in law and I arrived at the store, Cassandra was minding the shop. She is great. Cassandra will take care of you like you are the only person there. Trying perfumes, suggesting scents. She is very knowledgeable.
New to Penny Lane Perfumes is online shopping. Just go on the above mentioned website and experience how easy it is to shop. Need more information, please call them up. The experience of testing the perfumes is to me a relaxing one. On this visit I bought 2 perfumes. Let me tell you about them.
The first one I chose was Entre Naranjos by Spanish perfume designer, Ramon Monegal. Entre Naranjos means “Between Oranges”. I love the freshness of this perfume. It is made in Barcelona, Spain. I am wearing it as I type this post. All you need is just a bit. The scents stay all day. If you want to know more about Ramon Monegal; he has plenty of other perfumes, please check http://www.ramonmonegal.com.
The next perfume I chose was St. Clement’s “Oranges & Lemons Say The Bells of St. Clement’s”. The perfume designer? James Heeley. He is an Englishman, but works and lives in France. It is another of those citrus scents that are so light and refreshing. His perfumes are to be worn by men and women. You can visit http://www.jamesheeley.com for more information and the rest of his line of perfumes.
Penny Lane has cute gifts; scent bracelets. Just a few drops and wear it around your wrist.
The refillable, perfume spray bottles. The perfect stocking stuffer.

Some Christmas I am into scarves and gloves, others, I might be into jewelry….this year? Soaps, butters, scrubs, lotions, balms, shampoo. I don’t remember who asked me if I had gone to a soap store in Rehoboth Beach. They were raving about it. To tell you the truth I had not. But, a few weeks ago I found it!! And now, I am indulging and introducing Little Egg Harbor to my friends.
Little Egg Harbor Soap Company is located at 127 C Rehoboth Avenue in the Rehoboth Mews. Tel. 302-260-9813. Website? http://www.lehsoap.com. The company is from New Jersey. Three locations: Marmora, NJ, where the headquarter is located and where soaps and other products are made. Another location in Smithville, NJ, and the location in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
The Store Manager in Rehoboth Beach is Cinda Dera. She is great. Knows every particular of each product. She is also very friendly.
The day I visited, I did so with my friend Cindi. She and I totally fell in love with the store and the products. The soaps are made with oils of coconut, palm, olive, sunflower, castor and Shea butter. They make them in small batches. There are no detergents, animal fat, alcohol, preservatives, hardeners or mineral oils. You will get a totally vegan bar of soap.
The lotions, butters and scrubs do not have added colors.
All bars of soaps are sold by the ounce. Bars will be weighed at the register.
As you enter the store, the aroma is light and clean. The names on their soaps are: Blueberry Cobbler, Vanilla, Scarlet, Apple Martini, Beach Days, Weekend in Rehoboth….and more.
They have products Just for Men.
They also represent French soaps.
A line of products called Cucina from Italy. For your kitchen; biodegradable soaps and cleaning products. The formulas contain no phosphates, ammonia, or chlorine. The fragrances are unique.
I can attest to their shampoo. I have been using the moisturizing shampoo and love it. Leaves your hair shinny, manageable, and clean. I sound like a commercial, but it is true.
A line of soy candles called Beanpod. Vibrant colors and distinct fragrances. I opened the one that said Guava. Guava is a tropical fruit. It used to be one of those, that when I was growing up in Puerto Rico, you would pick off the trees. Almost extinct now….the smell of this candle brought me back to those years long ago. It was exactly the same smell. You could almost eat it. No kidding!
Coconut Oil – a moisturizer in coconut husk. You can use it practically for everything. Check http://www.lehsoap.com/coconut-oil-tips-and-benefits.
A well known product line from Oregon…Pacifica.
Soap Curls? Shaved and placed in bags…just a tiny bit to wash your hands. Bath Fizzie…fun for your bath!!
Note: If you have problems with psoriasis, eczema, patchy ski, ask them a bout their Calendula infused Bobbiesue Therapy Soap.
Stress free shopping? Shop the many small boutiques in Downtown Rehoboth Beach, where personal attention is their middle name….have fun!
