What’s Going On? Ocean City, Maryland Activities, Events, Links, Entertainment….Springfest, Restaurant Week is 2 Weeks Long!!, 23rd Annual Cruisin’ Ocean City

Ocean City, Maryland is starting May with plenty to do for all the visitors that will be arriving for the Annual Springfest, then, that will be followed by 2 weeks of dining with Restaurant Week being the main event.  And, for all those car enthusiasts, the 23rd Annual Cruisin’ Ocean City will be taking place in mid May.  So, where, when….and is the weather going to cooperate?  What’s Going On, O.C.?

Thursday, 5/2 – Sunday, 5/5 – Kicking Off the 2013 Season in Ocean City with the celebration of spring and the upcoming summer season.  Live entertainment, delicious food, unique arts and crafts under 4 tremendous tents located at the Inlet Lot at the south end of Ocean City’s famous Boardwalk.  There will be musical performances on 2 stages.  Admission?  FREE  All entertainment is free with the exception of the headline acts.  For more information, please visit http://www.ococean.com/events.  Please note that times and entertainment are subject to change, so it will be best to check the website.  Beatlemania Again will be on Thursday, 5/2 at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $5 – $10, for reserved seating.  Friday 5/3 is Justin Moore – Country at 8:00 p.m.  $25-$45 for Reserved Seating.  Saturday’s event  – Foreigner is sold out.

Thursday, 5/16 – Sunday, 5/19 – The 23rd Annual Cruisin’ Ocean City.  The event has reached its maximum number of participants.  Spectator passes will be available at the event.  There will be more than 3,000 Hot Rods, Customs, Classics, and Trick Trucks.  They will be taking over the streets of O.C.  Show hours are Thursday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.  Locations?  Inlet Parking Lot on 809 South Atlantic Ave. and the Convention Center at 4001 Coastal Highway.  General Admission?  $10…tickets can be purchased at the Inlet or at the Convention Center. What’s Going On?, Ocean City, Maryland, Events, Cruisin’ Ocean City, Spring Arts & Crafts Show

If you decided to cruise up and down Rt. 1 and get to Ocean City you will find yourself at the 21st Annual Cruisin’ Ocean City week-end.  This is when over 3,000 hot rods, customs, classics, street machines, muscle cars gather for days of enjoyment.  One local said that this week-end is better than Christmas. 

The venue is the Convention Center, Inlet Parking Lot at 4001 Coastal Highway.  This is a family event; to be enjoyed by all.  There is a general admission of $10 but children under 14 are free with a paying adult.

Danielle Colby Cushman who is the star of the History Channel American Pickers will appear on Saturday from 11 – 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 until 1 p.m.  She will sign autographs, pose for pictures and talk with the fans.

As part of the festivities there will be a concert Saturday at 9 p.m. at the Convention Center.  Enjoy the Cruisin’ Legends Concert and Dance.  It will be a tribute to the Blues Brothers, Sir Rod, and Johnny Seaton’s “Elvis”.  Tickets available through www.ticketmaster.com or call 800-551-7328.

Saturday and Sunday, 5/28 – 5/29 – Is the Spring Arts & Crafts Show at the Convention Center, 4001 Coastal Highway.  This is Ocean City’s only Memorial Week-End craft show.  You will find vendors displaying garden accessories, jewelry, candles, florals, nautical items and wood crafts.  And, a good selection of homemade chocolates, fudge and dip mixes.  Saturday is 10 until 5 p.m. and on Sunday 10 until 4 p.m.  It is Free.

Cruisin’ Ocean City, The Four Tops, Ocean City, Maryland, Events, Activities, 5/20/10 – 5/23/10

Thursday, May 20th – Sunday, May 23rd – It is Cruisin’ Ocean City at the Convention Center and Inlet Parking Lot, 4001 Coastal Highway.  Tel. 410-798-6304.  Website is www.cruisinoceancity.com. Admission will be $10.00 per person and children under 14 are free.

It is a popular car show featuring 3,000 hot rods, customs, classics, street machines, muscle cars and more.  Live entertainment, celebrity guests, special attractions, boardwalk parades, manufacturers, vendors and so much more.

Thursday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Be on the look-out for T.V. cameras and T.V. Hosts for the Mother’s Car show Series and the Lokar Car Show Series gathering Cruisin’ highlights at various locations for their upcoming show series. 

Other National Media activities include the Street Rodder Tour, The Street Rodder Top 100 and Street Rodder Magazine event coverage.

Boardwalk Parades are at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
