Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Monsters on Parade, All Hallows’ Eve, Looking for treats on Halloween, Delaware Beaches, Southern Delaware
Celebrating the 25th Sea Witch Festival in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware was a big event. It is getting more and more popular every year. Thousands came to the Delaware Beaches to enjoy one gorgeous week-end. I heard that the rentals either equaled or exceeded the Fourth of July!!
Getting out of town and away from the usual….jobs, the news nationwide and around the world. Thanks to Rehoboth Beach for putting one awesome festival! 3 full days of entertainment in Downtown Rehoboth Beach….check it out next year.
One of my favorite events takes place on the Sunday of Sea Witch. It is called Monsters on Parade. Rehoboth Beach loves dogs and this is one event totally dedicated to them and their owners. The parade starts on the north end of the Boardwalk. There is a registration process and also a competition of sorts.
The Boardwalk was lined with visitors…..and those dogs that were not competing, they were dressed up and waiting for the parade to pass by.
The French Poodles made their appearance again. The first photo was a couple of years ago…..I think they are more relaxed now.
Check this next photo….only in Rehoboth Beach!! Love it!
The floats!!
There were dogs everywhere you looked.
Norman, The Scooter Dog was busy all week-end long…he must have been exhausted. He got so many treats!
I think the Mastiff was pretending to be paying attention….he really was asleep. Hey, wake up, those monsters are coming!
The week ended with All Hallows’ Eve or All Saints Eve…that’s really what it is. “The traditional focus of All Hallows’ Eve revolves around the theme of using “humor and ridicule to condront the power of death”.
I bought all kinds of candy. You know how it is; the day you don’t buy they will show up by the hundreds. I was getting worried but, they did come.
The girls were like “can I have another piece? They boys were diving into the candy. There are no basket anymore….just big bags.
When my trick or treaters rang the bell, I had to go outside so my pooch who was barking her head off would not get out. I put my camera on top of the candy…..one kid said “Wow you are giving cameras!” Not this year I responded.
Happy Halloween!!
