Early this morning it was 68 degrees.  It is going to be a little warmer than that at the Delaware Beaches.  It is the perfect weather; blue skies and that crispiness in the air that says Fall is Here.  The colors are changing too.  Those bright oranges are amazing.  Tomato Sunshine in Rehoboth Beach located on Rt., has huge pumpkins in all colors and sizes.  You can’t miss Tomato Sunshine on the highway.

A sign that Autumn is here is the amount of events that are up and down the Delaware Beaches.  Ocean City, Maryland with its own festivals is kicking the Second Season in a big way.

So, What’s Going On?  Welcome to Rehoboth Beach!!

MERR stands for Marine Education, Research and Rehabilitation Institute.  This is a non-profit stranding response rehabilitation organization dedicated to the conservation of marine animals and sea turtles. They are first responders to stranded marine animals, alive or dead.

A couple of years ago I first saw them in action in Fenwick Island, Delaware when a whale washed up dead on the beach.  They were there to inform the public and to take the whale for research and disposal.

Gen Silent – What would you do it you were old, disabled or ill, and the person feeding you put down the spoon and said that you are going to hell unless you change your sexual preference?  Sound absurd? Social workers around the world say it’s happening every day.  Gen Silent is the critically acclaimed documentary from filmmaker Stu Maddux that asks 6 seniors from the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender community if they will hide their friends, their spouses, their lives, in order to survive in the care system.  Their surprising decisions…

Have a great time at the Beach!!
