Women & Wine at Lupo di Mare. Right in Rehoboth Beach. If you are not doing anything tomorrow night, this might be an opportunity to meet new friends. Also $5 of each ticket sold will be donated to Red Cross of Delmarva. This organization provides relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies on the Delmarva Peninsula.
This session of Lupo di Mare’s popular Women & Wine Club is returning tomorrow, Tuesday, October 11th. The location is at 247 Rehoboth Ave. It will be titled “Up and Coming Wines of California”.
The always entertaining Michelle Souza of Southern Wine & Spirits has selected wines based on their quality and significance in today’s contemporary wine movement.
Chefs Phil Mastrippolito and Matt Haley have designed a 4-course meal, packed with seasonal fall flavor, to match each wine.
First Course: Prosciutto wrapped melon, shaved prosciutto and cantaloupe. Paired wine: Wente Louis Mel Sauvignon Blanc
Second Course: Toasted flat bread, shaved apples, gorgonzola, spiced walnuts and herbs. Paired wine: Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay
Third Course: Grilled rack of lamb ratatouille, gold raisins, toasted pine nuts and wilted greens. Paired wine: Concannon Crimson & Clover Red Blend
Fourth Course: Local plum tart, whipped mascarpone, shaved mint and graham cracker crust. Paired wine: Tamas Zinfandel
This event is limited to 85 guests. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Dinner service begins at 7:00 p.m.
$49 per person. Gratuity not included.
