Philly Pretzel Factory, Rehoboth Beach, Restaurant, Review, Delaware Beaches

Months and months ago my friend, from Ocean City, told me that she has a friend who comes to Rehoboth just to have pretzels from the Phillly Pretzel Factory, located at 18701 Coastal Highway, Midway Galleria, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.  Tel. 302-645-2271.  Website? www.phillypretzelfactory.com.

Today, Michael and I decided to try it out.  This is a franchise and as such I know that the franchisor wants to protect his trademark, control the business concept; secure his know-how.

It is not very big inside and the owners have been the proprietors since last March.  Paul and Heidi are the second owners.  One small table inside and a couple outside.  Plenty of parking.

There are different pretzel flavors.  Some are salted, poppy, sesame, garlic or with everything.  The dips are yellow mustard, spicy brown mustard, hot mustard, cinammon dip and a few more, including a honey mustard.

Heidi suggested that I ate my salted pretzel with the honey mustard.  She was right because it was the perfect combination; sweetness and saltiness.  I thought mine was very good.

Pretzels are made every day on location.  Hours of operation at this time of the year are:  Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Michael had the Buffalo Chicken Pretzel.  It looked like a “pocket”.  You know the ones that you buy frozen at the grocery store.  I was a little disappointed at its size.  I thought it would have been bigger.  If you ask him what he thought his answer would be “o.k. but not crazy about it”.

Mark was working the store with Heidi and they were both very gracious.  I know that some franchises are more strict than others.  I don’t blame them but I have gone to some, lately, that at least they let them personalize the establishment so it has an individual and unique touch.

Philly Pretzel Factory has party trays available.  All you have to do is call ahead and place your order.  Please check www.phillypretzelfactory.com to find out about the different trays available and its prices.

Talk to you later…have a good one!!

I was about to answer by saying that it must have been a secret. I have never heard you say that you had stopped at Philly Pretzel Factory. There was the hot dog and I think the other hot dog was a big bigger. You were quiet about this one. Thanks for the comment to the blog. Much appreciated.
