An Innovative Jewelry Studio at the Delaware Beaches….It is Heidi Lowe Gallery….in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Heidi made her first ring in high school, and she has been making jewelry ever since, in addition to teaching at the Rehoboth Art League, located in Henlopen Acres, in the town of Rehoboth Beach.

She attended Maine College of Art in Portland, ME.  After obtaining her M.F.A. in Jewelry and Metalsmithing from the State of N.Y., in New Paltz, she relocated to the City.  It is in her genes; her mother, Colleen, is an artist and teacher, as well, and her father designed and built houses.

She creates jewelry with structure, color and meaning.  Her work is so unique; open to interpretation.

Her studio/Gallery is located on 328 Rehoboth Ave.  The telephone is 302-227-9203 and her website is www.HeidiLoweJewelry.com.  The website is presently under construction but will be up and running just in time for the On Line Jewelry Design Exhibition on November 14th, where the designs will be from artists already known for their work, as well as new emerging artists.  Save that date and make sure you check the website for more information.

Heidi has had 2 interns this summer; Maricha, who graduated from the Unitersity of the Arts in PA and Johanna who graduated from Towson University in Baltimore with an arts major.

On the day I visited the Gallery Maricha was there and graciously answered all my questions.

Heidi welcomes commisions, like engagement and wedding rings.

She can also design necklaces and cufflinks for wedding party gifts.  Or, anything to celebrate an occasion or an important date in your life.

At the present time, there is an on-going exhibit at her Gallery showing jewelry available for sale from artists from all over.

It is a very nice studio; whimsical, different and young.
