Saturday, September 19th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. is the 11th Annual Lewes Artists’ Studio Tour that will include 14 regionally and nationally acclaimed local artists. You are invited to an informal introduction to their work as they invite you to their studios.

Hayrides in the Park on Saturday, Sept. 19th at 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.  $4.00 per person.  Please call 302-645-6852 for more information.

 

The next few months are full of events in all my beach towns.  All these towns are close to one another so it is no big deal to drive to them.

I will be posting dates, etc. etc. but just to give you a taste of what is coming up, read on:

Lewes Historical Society Craft Fair

Wine, Cheese, Beer Tasting in the Park in October to benefit the beautification of Cape Henlopen State Park

Dewey Beach will host the Dewey Beach Music Conference with 175 Bands for 3 nights. No cover.

How can I forget this one? Yes, the Elvis Festival in Dewey Beach at the Rusty Rudder. Impersonators competing for $5,000.

In Rehoboth Beach, at the Boardwalk is the Buddy Walk for the National Down Syndrome Society.

The Rehoboth League has a lot of exhibits on its calendar, along with classes. Gallery is open from Monday through Saturday.

The Rehoboth Art League and the Rehoboth Beach Film Society will have a screening of Basquiat at the Inn at Canal Square in October.

The 15th Annual Southeastern Delaware Artists Studio Tour will be in November. Their website is www.artstudiotour.com

The Jazz Festival will be here soon and the Film Festival not far behind.  Also, the Greyhounds will be arriving too.

The 20th Annual Sea Witch & Fiddlers Festival and the Annual Punkin’ Chunkin’ are favorite events, as well.

The First State Ballet Theater will be presenting The Nutcracker at Delaware Tech on December 12th at 7:00 p.m. For info. call 302-858-5475.

Near Ocean City, in Berlin, Maryland the Berlin Fiddlers Convention will make their appearance.

Ocean City Restaurant Week

Coastal Style Luxury Living Show at the Convention Center and the Toast Our Coast event celebrating local food, wine and music.

Fallfest of Fine Arts, The Christmas Craft Expo, The Winterfest of Lights.

 

I still remember when my husband and I moved here. He moved first and people would ask us; what are you going to do there? It is true that it got a little quiet after the summer years ago, but no longer. These towns are alive.
