Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Dredging, Beach Nourishment, Beachcoming, Delaware Beaches, Southern Delaware

It has been going on all summer long…the beach replenishment or nourishment program….don’t be upset; it is for the good of the beaches.  It protects from flooding and coastal storms.  Today was one of those pretty days in Rehoboth Beach, with plenty of sun and clouds.

The people were mesmerized with the dredging.

I was just walking off the couple of brownies I had eaten.  Then, I started thinking that dredging and storms are the perfect opportunity for beachcombing.  For years my husband and I would go to the beach looking for sea glass.  People kept saying that they would find so much of it.  I only have found a couple.  It appeared to be the perfect time for combing the beach.

Look at the beach.  Doesn’t it look great?

Well, I really did not find anything, but what I did lose was a $20 bill that probably fell off my pocket as I answered the cell phone.  Which reminds me…why do I have to stay so connected?  And, if you find it, you know where to contact me.

I did go back to try to find it.  I am usually good at that.  Haha, no, that was not going to be.  But, how surprised I was to find an old friend, Diane…we chatted for the longest time.

That’s what you do when you live in Rehoboth Beach; don’t take it for granted.  Enjoy it for what it is…a great place to live!!
