It was almost 10 p.m. when we left Catch 54 in Fenwick Island. I could not believe that it was still 73 degrees. It was a very hot day but as the sun slowly started setting the evening was just right. I wanted to see if the food at Catch 54 was as good as its view. So, road trip to Fenwick. Just about 25 minutes away from Rehoboth Beach.
It was also the perfect evening because everyone that was at the beaches this week-end had gone home, therefore, the restaurants were going to be more settled on a night like tonight. I was right. It was quieter and just so nice.

Catch 54 is located at 54 Madison Ave., Fenwick Island, DE 19944. It is right on Rt. 54, where Shark’s Cove Marina is also located. If you head west from Rt. 1, in Fenwick Island, then you will go over the bridge and you will see the restaurant to your right. Make the next right and you are just about there. Website? http://www.catch54.com. Tel. 302-436-8600. You will find Catch 54 on Facebook.
Catch 54 is part of the family of restaurants owned by SoDel Concepts; yes, Matt Haley is the owner.
The restaurant has plenty of parking. They open Mondays through Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. Fridays through Sundays at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and at 4:00 p.m. for dinner. Every day there is happy hour from 3 until 6 p.m. Catch 54 does not take reservations.
This restaurant is one of the few, at the Delaware Beaches, if not the only one with views anywhere you sit. On the first floor you will find a Tiki Bar. You can eat there, as well. The bar completely opens up so that you can really enjoy the outdoors.

Upstairs, which is the main dining area, there is a good size bar. The dining tables are set up so that you can also experience the views throughout. These marshes and inland bays are just spectacular. And, at sunset, they are priceless.

I got a little worried when I noticed that my camera was flashing. That meant I had a low battery. I decided not to take a picture of the steamed clams. They had herbs, a Tabasco Butter Broth and Lemon. They were delicious. My Caesar Salad was very good, as well. I ordered it because it had the white anchovies. I see those on a menu and I die for them. Many years ago I first had them in Spain and totally fell in love with them.
As you know, we always have to check if an entree contains gluten. Caitlyn was our server and immediately she told us which items on the menu were gluten free. It was good to see that the restaurant was catering to those with food allergies and that it had trained their staff so well.
Caitlyn was knowledgeable, friendly, and discreet. She let us chat but was also very attentive.
We ordered the Hot Bacon Crab Dip, with Jack Cheese and homemade Kettle Chips. The chips were so crispy and warm. The combination of the bacon, crab and cheese was perfect. Not too salty either, which was nice. This dish is enough for 4 people.

Then, my husband ordered the Seared Day Boat Scallops with mashed potatoes, creamed corn and tomato chili oil. The picture does not lie. It was that good. I took a bite.

My entree was a Fisherman Stew. Fresh caught fin fish, scallops, shrimp, clams, mussels, celery, garlic butter, herbs, tomato broth, Old Bay, Lemon and toast. The first thing I wanted to do was dip the bread in the broth. But, I had the willpower and did not do it. Instead, I ordered a spoon and ate all the seafood with plenty of “gusto”.
I have not visited all the SoDel Concept restaurants, but the ones that I have had the chance to experience have been very generous with the portions.
But wait. I am not finished. It is a bit challenging to find a gluten free dessert on a menu. Yes, you can get fruit but, you know…give me a dessert, please. I noticed that there was a flourless cake. Well, say no more. We ordered it. I had seen recipes for that type of cake but I have never made one. It was a true chocolate taste. If you like chocolate, believe me, this is your dessert. The berry swirl and the whipped cream were the perfect companions.

The Sous-Chef, Ronnie, came to the table to see how we had liked everything. We thanked him for the food and for being on top of the gluten allergy. He said that they try to accommodate everyone. We enjoyed our dinner so much. It was such a peaceful atmosphere with a hint of music on the background.
Talk to you later….the merging of the views and the food to give you such delight…

I am probably the only person that has made a friendship through the Census. Yes, her name is Annie Hall. I thought it was a joke when she first called. She asked me for lunch the other day and we decided to meet at BayWood. I had never been there; only had seen it from Rt. 24. Always amazed at the flowers; could not imagine how beautiful it was going to be once I was inside the complex. BayWood Greens is not only an 18 Hole Championship Golf Course; it is also a community.

BayWood Greens is located on Rt. 24, Long Neck, Delaware. It is about 15 to 20 minutes from Rehoboth Beach. Best way to get there is: From Rt. 1 take Rt. 24 West. It will be 7 miles to the BayWood entrance on the left. The website is www.baywoodgreens.com. Tel. 302-947-9225, 302-947-9800.
As you are driving in, there are gardens everywhere. Constant care and attention to detail is what immediately came to my mind.

At a distance I could see the Clubhouse. Again, flowers, fountains, and what a beautiful day it was.

There is plenty of parking and just a short flight of stairs in order to access the main entrance.

Again, the entrance was full of flowers.

As I came into the reception area I could see that the Clubhouse had a very sophisticated air about it. I asked the hostess if we could sit outside. If you want to sit inside, there are plenty of choices. But, on a day like last Friday, who wants to sit inside?

The Verandah was the perfect choice. A wonderful breeze and comfortable tables.

From the Verandah you had an expansive view. I can see why so many brides choose this spot. It is called the Wedding Garden. The wedding photos must be spectacular.

The Clubhouse is open for lunch and dinner. Brunch on Sundays, as well. There is plenty to choose from. Soups, Salads, Sandwiches, Dinner Appetizers, Entrees and Desserts.
It was so comfortable and relaxing that I felt I was on vacation somewhere else.
I chose the Baywood Bleu Cheese Salad. This is their signature salad with mixed greens, gorgonzola bleu cheese, roasted red peppers, red onion, artichokes, dried cranberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, Kalamata olives, and Genoa salami tossed in a honey Dijon dressing. You would think that it would be enough but I also had grilled chicken on top. It was the perfect salad. The dressing was delicious and the combination of all those vegetables, dried cranberries and salami gave it that sweet and salty taste. Very very good.

Annie Hall had the Steakhouse Salad which was grilled flank steak served over mixed greens with corn, roasted plum tomatoes, and avocado tossed in a BBQ Ranch dressing and topped with fried shallots. She decided that instead of the Ranch dressing whe would order bleu cheese and said that it was delicious.

We talked and talked. Our server as so nice and came to check on us from time to time. We were happy, though.
After our lunch Annie had to leave and I just strolled around the grounds.

There is also a Golf Pro Shop which is separate from the Clubhouse.

BayWood is busy. They have a Summer Concert Series. The first concert will be Monday, May 30th from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. It will be held in the Wedding Garden. The concerts are open to the public and they are free. There will be a Memorial Day BBQ. You know, hamburgers and hotdogs. The entertainers will be The Cruzers. For more info. and reservations, call 302-947-9225.

The following sounded like fun. BayWood Clubhouse Restaurant has a Birthday Promotion. They will give you a discount equivalent to your age!! If you are turning 42, please go and get your 42% off your entree. If you can’t make it on your birthdate then celebrate your special day anytime during the calendar week of your birthday. Sunday to Saturday.
Then there is the Anniversary Promotion. Discount equal to the years of marriage. And if you have been married 10 years or less, they will still give you a 10% discount. Just remember that the discount applies to entree portion of total check. And, promotions are not available with other offers or discounts.
Please visit the website above mentioned because you can find a whole schedule on what is going on at BayWoods.

I recommend it to anyone that wants to have a good and relaxing lunch. The setting is gorgeous. I cannot wait to try dinner and feel the atmosphere at that time of the evening.

Have a good one!! Talk to you later…

The Historic town of Lewes is getting ready for a celebration on Friday, 4/29. It is called Fun Friday. Lewes is celebrating the Royal Wedding. I wrote a post on the different events throughout this special day. You can read it by clicking on the month of March, 2011 on the left hand side of this website and then scrolling down to the 9th.
“Friends are the flowers that never fade.” With that in mind I went to meet Jody on Tuesday in Lewes, Delaware. I met Jody not long ago; an instant friendship. She is funny, likes to talk and likes to try new restaurants, as well.
About 3 weeks ago a new restaurant opened in Lewes. When I first heard about it I thought it was only a bakery. This new eatery is the perfect combination; a bakery, a restaurant, and a bar. Sounds like heaven. Their motto? “Come for Dessert, Stay for Dinner”.
Cake Bar is located at 115 Second St., Lewes, Delaware 19958. Tel. 302-645-CAKE (2253). Website? www.sugarbakerscakes.com.

What a difference!! As you come into Cake Bar from the Second St. entrance I was pleasantly surprised. The bakery is at the front. Nothing like looking at beautiful baked goods in a warm atmosphere to wet your appetite.

Jody and I met Jamie, the owner. Friendly; like you know her. She told us that she and her family had been coming to Lewes for a long time and that they owned a home in town. They were looking for a place to start a business and when the opportunity came they grabbed it. Right in the center of town.
I like what they have done with the dinning areas. It was comfortable and a good choice of colors.

But that is not all, Jamie and her family own a very successful business in Catonsville, Maryland. It is called Sugar Bakers Cakes at 752 Frederick Rd., Baltimore, MD 21228. The website is www.sugarbakerscake.com. The tel. is 410788-9478.
In business since 1996, this company has made a name for themselves. Please check their website to see the most amazing cakes for all occasions. The reviews? Awesome!! Appearing in The Today Show and Whose Wedding is It Anyway?.

Their cakes are delivered to Baltimore, Washington, and to the Maryland and Delaware resorts.

You can contact them either in Baltimore or in Lewes for a complimentary wedding cake consultation. June is around the corner, so I hope brides to be are reading this post.
One thing that caught my attention was that you can call Cake Bar and order dessert trays; 10 person minimum for all trays. Just cookies, or a selections of brownies, blondies, and mini desserts. Served in easy to handle, bite size pieces.
The Fancy Feast includes mini eclairs, tiny mousse cups, fresh fruit tarts and dipped strawberries, among others.
You can also order miniature desserts by the dozen. Just give them a call if you would like more info. Remember their number is 302-645-CAKE.
Jody and I checked the menu. Cheeses, Maryland Crab Dip, fries with garlic truffle aioli, wings, mac and cheese, shrimp cocktail, steamed shrimp, steamed mussels are a few of their starters. Then the soups and salads followed. Sandwiches like Maryland Crabcake, the Delaware Dip, the BLT and G(uacamole) which had thick smoked bacon, roasted and sandwiched with arugula, juice tomato, and creamy guacamole. The Hot Dog Muffaletta is their take on New Orleans; a big, grilled all-beef dog in a baguette roll, packed with pepperoncini’s, red onion, roasted red pepper, provolone cheese and tapenade.
Some of their entres were shrimp and grits, day boat scallops, fresh daily fish, flat iron steak, meatloaf and mash. The Delmarva Chicken is a Delaware chicken brined in traditional local marinade of lemon, buttermilk, garlic, olive oil and seasonal herbs and then roasted. Choice of garlic mash or fresh veggies.
Jody and I decided on a salad. You know how it is, summer is around the corner, afterall.
Jody chose the CakeBAR Salad which had lettuce, cucumber, tomato, sweet red pepper, red onion, olives, artichoke hearts, and goat cheese Feta, with red wine vinaigrette. She topped it with grilled shrimp. It was light and she very much enjoyed it.

I chose the Wedding Salad which had baby greens topped with seasonal fresh berries, toasted pine nuts, crumbled goat cheese and house-smoked duck confit. Served with a honey citrus vinaigrette. I loved it. I think the combinations of all the fruit, the smoked duck and the dressing were a perfect marriage of flavors.

No dessert for us. Can you imagine? All homemade and we had the willpower to say no. Our waiter, which by the way was very good, named them all. We still resisted.
I wish Jamie and her family the best. Stop by and say hello.
Note: Fun Facts from Sugar Bakers Cakes: They use 75,000 eggs per year and 1.8 million chocolate chips per year. Yikes!!
Please remember that Cake Bar has happy hour.

Have a great day!!…talk to you soon…

Even though the building is painted in different colors and the interior has been redecorated over the years, the memories came back once I stepped into Stingray. This restaurant, located at 59 Lake Avenue in Rehoboth Beach was years ago called Fran O’Brien’s. It was an institution; anyone visiting the beaches; this was the “it” place for “apres beach”, drinks, food, and dancing. It really was the place to see and being seen.
But enough of that since I am really dating myself. That’s exactly what I told Laura, our server. Laura was friendly and really knew the menu well.
Stingray is one of the favorite sushi restaurants of a couple of friends. And guess what? They were there. Joe and Carla; they are sushi connoisseurs. Carla told me that I needed to order the Man Eater and the Malay Roll. Laura agreed, as well.
It was the perfect evening to visit Stingray. This will be their fourth season in Rehoboth Beach. The tel. is 302-227-6476. Website? www.stingrayrestaurant.com.

Being that it was Sunday, it was quiet. The music was playing and the restaurant exuded a club-like atmosphere.

A full bar, a lounge area where dinner can be enjoyed with reservations.

The sushi bar took center stage. Take Out is available until 1:00 a.m.

Other rooms were outfitted with tables and some with booths.

An enclosed glass porch was available and looked like it would be very nice to spend an evening having dinner on that porch while checking out the comings and goings on Lake Avenue.

I ordered the Man Eater and the Malay Roll.
The Man Eater had fried fresh salmon with jalapeno and spicy mayo, sprinkled with chopped fresh cilantro. It was delicious and the combination of the salmon with jalapeno gave it a good kick. Not overly so, but just a hint. Finished with the cilantro was perfect.

The Malay Roll had crispy Chilean sea bass, asparagus, and spicy sauce inside, sesame seeds outside. Very tasty, as well.
Then I decided to order live scallops sashimi. The presentation was very nice. The only thing is that I like the scallops to be sliced thin with lime. I thought that with the cucumber cup you could not really taste the scallops since they were chopped.

Then I asked Laura if she could ask the sushi chef to prepare an order just like I wanted. There was a marked difference and eating the scallops with the lime, well, was the best.

My husband had 2 orders of the same thing. One was the smelt roe, served on the cucumber cups. He liked them.

Then he had the Pocono Mountain Roll, which had steamed shrimp, crab plus masago mixed with a spicy sauce. It was good. I had one of those; it was a nice roll. It was one of those rolls that I would call safe. Safe, meaning not daring just comfortable; easy on your palate.
Stingray has a Sushi Bar on Wheels. You can have your own private sushi bar at your next event. Which means that you can be a guest at your own party. It offers a variety of maki rolls and sushi selections for your guests to enjoy.

Their Sushi Chefs will roll your selections behind their 6 seat sushi bar; fresh fish selections will be displayed in their refrigerated glass front sushi case. To find more information about this, please call 302-227-6475.
Besides Sushi, Stingray offers seafood, chicken, pork and beef. There are even a couple of vegetarian dishes on the menu, as well. Soups and salads are always on the menu.
Reservations are accepted for parties of 6 or more.
There is happy hour every day from 4 – 6 p.m. with 2 for 1 sushi rolls. These will be selected rolls, dine in only and available in the bar and lounge only.
Saturdays and Sundays the happy hour starts at Noon until 6 p.m.
Some of the Latin dishes were Pork Mojo, lobster quesadillas, and fish tacos. During the season more items will be added.
It was a nice evening. At this time of the year, plenty of parking, no lines, so I am taking advantage before the gates open on Memorial Week-End.
Talk to you later…..have a good one….

Located in the middle of Dewey Beach, Delaware is Two Seas. On one side the Atlantic Ocean and on the other, the Rehoboth Bay.
The address? 1300 Coastal Highway, (Van Dyke Ave. and Coastal Highway), Dewey Beach, DE 19971. Tel. 302-227-2610.
No website and not a lot of advertising; but as usual, word of mouth is the best advertising. On Facebook? Well, of course, isn’t everybody? Well, almost, since I know a few that refuse to get into it.

I have been wanting to go to this restaurant for some time. I am almost embarrass to tell you that it has been 22 years since I have been there. Yes, 22 years ago I was coming out of my pre-natal class and had dinner there. Some things never change. Good food is always on my mind.
Two Seas opened 24 years ago and it has had a few renovations and additions since then. Same location, though.

It has parking which is a welcome relief at this time of the year. You have to climb a few steps; no elevator.
You are in for a treat if you decide to visit Two Seas.

This restaurant has those 5 key ingredients that make a restaurant. Quality, culinary competence, service, ambiance and price.
Ingredients should be the best money can buy. Culinary competence, well the chef should out do himself, the service should be very attentive but not intrusive, the ambiance should also be relaxing, and the price should be reasonable.
Two Seas has an extra ingredient; a view on the roof top, with a bar, tables for tapas, drinks, appetizers and happy hour.

The roof top menu is a little bit different from the main dining room menu, but not much.
The restaurant is attended by the Carr family and their staff. Friendly and again, very attentive to your needs.
Guess what? Gluten free menu for those on a gluten free diet.
The main dining room was crowded; but comfortable and the decoration throughout the restaurant was “coastal chic”.

After the drink order was taken I could not wait to taste some of their offerings.
My starter was a Crab Chowder. It was New England cream style with Maryland Crab. It had a hint of nutmeg. Very good.

An order of oysters is always a must, if available. Good review, as well.

The Baked Brie was warm with fresh basil pesto, vine ripe tomato and toast points. It was good for 3 or 4 people and very nice.

For the main event I had their signature dish: Sweet onion crusted Red Snapper, oven baked and served with Madeira sauce. The onions were caramelized and the sweetness complemented the fish.

Another entree ordered was the Pan seared Rockfish. Served over corn and bacon hash and finished with an avocado, cilantro sour cream. I had a taste of it and it really had such a good flavor. The mixture of the bacon hash and the avocado and cilantro gave it such a different taste. I love those types of combinations.

The next entree was the Crab crusted Halibut, which was finished with a lemon buerre blanc. Also different, being that it was crusted with crab.

No dessert was ordered because I had made Flan and it was waiting at home.
I still cannot believe I had not been to that restaurant in so long. But to tell you the truth, and in my defense, the building does not look like a restaurant.

Anyway, as usual I took a lot of pictures and you just have to try it yourself. Last night, the sunset was priceless!!
I am not kidding I cant’ wait to go back. It is great when the unexpected surprises you in such a pleasant way.
Note: Two Seas is available for private parties.
See you later…..relax…you are at the beach!!

Four of us for dinner with no reservation. That was our dilema. Where to go in Boulder with so many restaurants within walking distance, on Pearl Street.
We decided to to to Jax, located on 928 Pearl St. Tel. 303-444-1811, website http://www.jaxfishhouseboulder.com.
It was crowded. The time 6:30 p.m. Jax is not big but they can fit a lot of people. Busy, a little noisy but that is the way you want this fish house.
The first thing we saw as we stepped in, was the Raw Bar. Up to about a dozen varieties of oysters, clams, chilled crabs and lobsters are flown every day.
We had a certain amount of time in which to order and eat since we were on our way to the Boulder Theater to see guitarist Jesse Cook.
Our waiter was amazing and I am so sorry I did not get his name. He was a professional.
We were a party of 4. We started with 3 dozen oysters. Salty, and very cold, just like we like them.
For dinner, I followed the suggestion of our waiter and had the special of Mahi Mahi. It had polenta, hearts of palm and the broth was well seasoned and delicious. The presentation was beautiful.

My friend ordered the Mississippi Skillet Catfish. You had the choice of blackened or fried. She chose blackened. On the bottom pancakes, andouille sausage gravy, onion rings and a side of the sausage. Great combination and never had seen it presented in such a way.

An order of Black Mussels was another dinner and the broth was so good that more bread was requested.
The Lobster BLT, had lots of lobster and house smoked bacon, citrus aioli, and arugula. Crispy french fries and cole slaw that got great reviews. So good in fact that he went a couple of days later with friends and they all had this entree.

Jax is offering Dinner Series with Chef Hosea Rosenberg. He was in Season 5 of “Top Chef”.
The first dinner is taking place on July 14th at 6:00 p.m. Only 18 seats are available per dinner. $100 per person. The theme? “As Fresh as it Gets”: The Pacific Northwest.
For more info. and reservations please check the website or give them a call.
Note: Jax has Happy Hour from 4 – 6 p.m. Dinner starts at 4:00 p.m.
I am back in Delaware so talk to you later…..

Where to get a hair cut when you are not sure where to go? Word of mouth is usually the best advertisement so our son directed my husband to Avenue Haircutters right on Atlantic Ave. I hope the men reading this post pay attention because this barber shop is a true and reasonable one.
Avenue Haircutters is located on 777 East Atlantic Ave., Suite A-5 in Delray Beach. It is right across from the Blue Anchor Pub in the Atlantic Plaza. The shop is towards the back of the Plaza. They have 3 barbers available.
As I was waiting for my husband I had to take a few pictures. Then, I started wondering about the pole that shows that you are in a barber shop. You know, it has red, white and blue.

Apparently, barber shops were places where men gathered, relaxed, read magazines and enjoyed each other’s company while also engaging on gossip, sharing jokes, talking about sports and politics, and debating the events of the day. I think barber shops are older than women’s hair salons so really they started all this before us.
Originally, the trimming and shaving, which by the way was a bit messy and painful; before the invention of the razor, was done at home and probably by a servant. Later on in the mid 19th century as towns were increasing and with the invention of the razor blade, barber shops were found on the main street of about every small town.
It may be helpful to know that the barbers and surgeons were once the same profession. Barber-surgeons were authorized to perform like a phlebotomist, who is the person drawing blood for analysis.
The barber shops were distinguished from other businesses by the red, white and blue striped pole out in front. The red and white were symbols of the blood and bandages of surgeons and the blue was added to make the pole resemble the American flag.
My husband got a really nice hair cut. And, as we were walking around the plaza, a gentleman came out of the barber shop and asked us if we were from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. His name was Butch Bradley and he was the owner of Avenue Haircutters. He had lived in Rehoboth and his barber shop was at the Midway Shopping Center on Coastal Highway. He had just been at the Delaware beaches and loves the whole area. We talked and it was so nice of him to have approached us. This is what makes these small towns so unique; a friendly conversation in the middle of the Plaza with someone you just met.
Then, we talked to Butch about Bethany Beach, Delaware and he proceeded to inform us that the owner of La Cigale, Francis Touboul, has a house in Bethany.
Well, since it was around 1:30 we then decided to have lunch at La Cigale and this is my next post. Being that it was a little cloudy, a little cooler and we were a little hungry we marched ourselves to La Cigale.

La Cigale has been in Delray Beach for a long time. It used to be right on Atlantic Ave., in the same spot where the new Seagate Hotel is now located. As renovations kept going on Atlantic Ave., it was so nice to know that this restaurant had opened in another location with plenty of parking and more space.
La Cigale is located on 253 S.E. 5th Ave., in Delray Beach, and near Atlantic Ave. At night you can spot the torches outside. Tel. is 561-265-0600. The website is www.lacigaledelray.com.
And the e-mail address is lacigalle@bellsouth.net.
We have been to the restaurant in the past; lunch and dinner. The restaurant is known to locals and natives alike.
When we entered the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was color. Immediately I felt good.

The tables were covered with tablecloths, very unpretentious, European, and a friendly staff.
I love mussels and once I saw them on the menu I knew that I was having them. They were Prince Edward Island Mussels with garlic, olive oil, tomato, basil leaves, white wine and a side order of pomme frites. They were so tasty and sweet, with that lite broth and perfect for lunch. I was even happier when I saw that they had placed a spoon for the broth. No way was I leaving that behind.

The pomme frites (French for French Fries) were perfectly cooked; crispy. Just the right size, as well, and I did not feel any guilt eating them all. Definitely, worth it.

My husband had the Calamari and Escarole sauteed in a white wine, garlic, olive oil and hot cherry peppers. That came with their soup of the day which was a white bean soup. I tasted both dishes; the calamari was tender, and the bean soup was rich and perfectly seasoned.
Then, we started talking to Francis, the owner. Can you believe he has had a house in Bethany Beach, Delaware for 20 years? He came from France, his first job in Bethany was at Gigi’s. Only locals would remember that one. And, has lived in Washington, as well. He was friendly, energetic and just the perfect host.
La Cigale has the perfect blend of Mediterranean food and you will always find the Coq Au Vin, the Beef Bourguignon; you know all those French dishes that make our mouths water.
One of those dishes, a dessert one and a favorite is the Creme Brulee. It is French for “burnt cream”. It is considered to be French, but the English and Spanish claim credit, as well.
At La Cigale the creme brulee was just the way I like it. The original; creamy and no other flavors added.
La Cigale offers Happy Hour from Mondays through Fridays from 5 until 7 p.m. Two for one drinks with complimentary hors d’ouvres at the bar only. Half price appetizers from their regular menu at the bar, as well.

The restaurant has capabilites for private parties. Please visit their website, above mentioned, because you can read about the restaurant, check the pictures and most of all look through the different menu proposals and hors d’ouvres selections for any parties you might want to hold at La Cigale.
If you are visiting Delray, try it and let me know how you what you think.

Note: I did not know that Francis Touboul, the owner of La Cigale also owns, Atlantique Cafe located on 777 E. Atlantic Ave. in the Atlantic Plaza, 561-272-1170 where this post actually started. As soon as I try it, I will let you know.
Yesterday I visited 3 places. Avenue Haircutters and La Cigale in Delray and then in the evening Michael R. McCarty’s in Palm Beach, which will be tomorrow’s post.
Information on the barber shop pole was taken from www.fashionencyclopedia.com and from www.wisegeek.com.
Until then……talk to you later….
