Haha starting with bread pudding first. Some of us can afford to do that and others have to exercise restraint.
We were at The Surfing Crab located at 16723 Coastal Highway. In Lewes, Delaware. Going north past the town on Lewes.
A craving for crabs is what we had. We called their telephone 302-644-4448 to reserve extra large crabs to be eaten there. You can also have take out. Surfing Crab has a full menu with really good food, as well.
Do you like hush puppies? An order of hush puppies , of course. Sophia made a sauce with Ketchup and Vinegar too.
Then those enormous crabs made an entrance. They were so sweet. We started picking, talking, a few beers and only took home 3.
I dipped the meat in vinegar. Others like butter too but vinegar was it last night.
Picking crab for me is relaxing and very social.
These are my first crabs of 2024. At The Surfing Crab the atmosphere is casual and fun. Great service by the way.

Hey guess what? They do deliver. Fat Fish opens at 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.
The restaurant is not big. It is so cute and very local, indeed.
Meet Joe, the owner, as he was getting ready to chow on the daily special…Today’s Bruschetta Burger. I saw with my own eyes. 1/2 lb burger, pesto, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil on a brioche bun.
But, get a little closer…you want to get a good look at it, don’t you? Here it is. Yum!!
Cindi ordered the Blue Crab Tacos. Their tacos are well known and one of the most ordered items, as well.
And I ordered the Fat Fish Sandwich…Tempura battered tuna and shrimp, wasabi, mayo, red onion, lettuce, tomato and cilantro crema. Look how beautiful it looks. First I ate the shrimp and then followed with the sandwich. Awesome indeed!
Here I go again. I love picking crabs. This past week, a craving for steamed crabs took me to Lazy Susan’s located at 18289 Coastal Highway (Rt. 1), Lewes. Tel. 302-645-5115. There is plenty of parking. The reason why I am also posting. A holiday week-end brings so many people to the beaches. Parking is a test for patience.
I thought Lazy Susan’s would be crowded. Surprise Surprise; it was not. The whole place to ourselves.
When I go to Lazy Susan’s is because I want to eat crabs; that’s all I pretty much order. They have been in business since 1984. It is a true crab house. But, if that’s not what you want; they do have a full menu.
We ordered large crabs. They were so heavy and sweet. Plenty of seasoning. A little corn too.
Melted butter and apple cider vinegar for dipping.
There are more than a few crab house in the area. I support them all. I have been going to Lazy Susan’s for a long time. So, it is one of my favorites. If you really want to pick crabs, now you know where to go.
The service was great, the crabs were awesome….nothing else to talk about.
