The dark chocolate is a favorite, but the milk chocolate…you have to try it. So smooth. Then, the combination with nuts and sea salt renders a toffee that is totally addictive.
Taylor’s Toffee is made at 38288 London Avenue, Unit #8 in Selbyville, Delaware, 19975. It is west of Fenwick Island, Delaware by a few miles. It is a family operated business. Tel. 302-436-7539
Taylor’s Toffee is also sold in area stores. You may call them and they will direct you where to go. But, today, Friday, December 2oth they will be at the Berlin Farmers’ Market on Harrison Avenue behind the Berlin Fire Company. I believe they attend the market frequently. The Berlin Farmers’ Market opens 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. year-round.
The chocolates come in gift boxes of 2 ounces, 6 ounces or 12 ounces. They also offer gift bags of 4 ounces, 8 ounces, or 16 ounces. They ship, as well.

Restaurants in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware are more and more in tune…offering meatless Monday dinners. It is a day of the week when eating vegetables, pastas, rices, beans, and other offerings give you the opportunity to eat more “plant-based”.
I decided to take my friend, Cindi, to Modern-Mixture, located at 62A Rehoboth Avenue in Downtown Rehoboth Beach. Tel. 302-227-0600. Website? http://www.modern-mixture.com. You can find Modern-Mixture on Facebook, as well.
Modern-Mixture has been in Rehoboth for about 2 years. It has a liquor license and it opens every day except, Tuesday.
Cindi and I decided to try 2 Meatless Monday lunches. Leo suggested the following:
A tamal, enfrijolada, chile relleno with cheese, rice and guacamole.
And, the Vegan Meatloaf. I have had this meatloaf before and really think it is delicious. Beans, oats and sauce makes so good that you will not miss the beef.
Dessert was presented by Leo….It was a Chocolate Mousse Cake; light, moist with just the right amount of sweetness.

The location was the beautiful Cape Henlopen High School….Sunday afternoon we had the opportunity to get into the Holiday Spirit. Many of us have had a very trying year, nevertheless, we carry the spirit of the season, reflecting, and yes, celebrating, as well.
It was the Winter Concert…Christmas Oratorio by J.S. Bach, presented by the Southern Delaware Choral Society, accompanied by a chamber orchestra.
The Southern Delaware Choral Society is a cultural entity in Delaware, established in 1985. The Society performs winter concerts in Georgetown and Lewes, Delaware, in the winter…spring concerts in Rehoboth Beach. More info? Please visit http://www.southerndelawarechoralsociety.org.
The Christmas Oratorio was such a special treat for us to enjoy these classic pieces of choral music. Guest Conductor, Simeone Tartaglione, explained Johann Sebastian Bach to the audience. J.S. Back composed the Christmas Oratorio for the Christmas Season in 1734-1735.
The English translation used by the Southern Delaware Choral Society was by the Revd. Dr. J. Troutbeck, who translated many of J.S. Bach’s works from the original German.
The beautiful voices, the musicians and most of all the Conductor gave us a something delightful today!!
Merry Christmas!
NOTE: Handel’s Messiah Sing-A-Long will be next Sunday, December 22nd at 3 p.m. in the Hall at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Lewes, Delaware.

Women do love jewelry. These accessories can define you….conservative, traditional, edgy, or out there. There is so much on the market; jewelry can enhance anyone’s outfit. Alice Klein is the designer and owner of TKO….I have to mention her husband, Bryant…a designer and artist himself. Since 1980 Alice Klein has been known as the face for TKO. Alice is an artist. Her designs are well known. And her followers collect her jewelry.
Her designs are different and very recognizable; one of a kind pieces, as well. Working with gold, silver, and gold plated materials. A wide range of prices for everyone on your Holiday list.
New for the season are the Paspaley pearls…South Sea Cultured pearls.
