Finally!!, Gluten Free Pizza, Grotto Pizza, Review, Delaware Beaches, It’s a Good One!!
Tonight it was; I can’t see the onions on the pizza. I did not know you needed to have a magnifying glass to see the toppings. Last night’s theme was; Not enough goat on my curry. I was like; I never complain about my food. His answer: I am very particular; you know that.
I am about to start something here called “Things my Husband Says”, just like that guy that has the show on t.v. called Things My Father Says or something to that effect.
I am still laughing. Believe me, he said other things that I will not mention here. I will leave it at that.
Actually, all comments aside, this gluten free pizza was truly the best one I have ever had anywhere, by far.
Grotto Pizza at the Delaware Beaches is the first pizza restaurant that has taken the initiative to offer a gluten free pizza.

For the millions of people on a gluten free diet having a good piece of pizza is Heaven. My husband, the “particular” one, is the one that has to eat gluten free. Don’t get me wrong, we have gotten used to it. The whole family has, just like anything else. But, we had not been able to find a good pizza. I tried it at home; what a disaster!!
I only added anchovies to my pizza. Grotto only offers one size in gluten free; 9 inch personal pizza. I found it to have a very good crust; thin and crispy, just like I like it. Their sauce and cheese are always good. This dough was not chewy or chalky; it had a very good taste.
Twenty years ago, a gluten free diet was considered very unusual. The majority of people did not know what it was. It is a legitimate lifestyle; not a fad or temporary trend. It does not take long to feel better once you start following the diet.
I want to congratulate Grotto and all the other restaurants in the area that are trying to make the dining experience with those afflicted with this and other food allergies a little bit better.
Note: Grotto Pizza also offers gluten free beer.

Thank you for posting this.. I have Celiac disease and LOVE Grotto pizza. We are headed to Rehoboth next weekend and I was sad that I wouldn’t be able to have my annual pizza this year ( Just went GF last year), but saw your blog and was thrilled! I always have to research menus before we go away now to prepare for GF dining. Any other restaurant suggestions that have GF offerings at Rehoboth/Bethany/Dewey areas? Thanks!
