The Villages of Five Points, Lewes, Delaware, Summer on the Green, Free Movies, Live Concerts, Open to the Public



A glossy brochure caught my attention; so did the mussels.  The pages were thick, colorful and  the brochure was easy to carry.  It was called A Taste of Five Points.  In it you will find menus, information on free outdoor entertainment, and special offers.  Yes, believe it or not, there are coupons that can be used at the restaurants located at The Villages of Five Points in Lewes.

But let me tell you a bit about The Villages of Five Points.  It is pretty much a self-contained community.  Location? On the corner of Rt. One and Savannah Road in Lewes, Delaware.  The website is


Can you imagine not having to get back into any car once you got home? The Villages of Five Points is unique in that respect.  You have all of the downtown conveniences; restaurants, shops, grocery store, professional services.  Everything is accessible and convenient. 


Plenty of amenities are found in this community.  Tennis, jogging paths, biking trails and playing fields.  Everything revolves around the center of “downtown”.

The beaches are only minutes away; so is the historic town of Lewes.

You might want to know that the following restaurants are at The Villages of Five Points.  In the hectic summer months, there is easy parking available.  You cannot imagine how important that is.

Music and Fun.  Summertime.  Living is less hectic.  Schedules?  We would like to forget them. 


Summer on the Green is The Villages of Five Points free movie and concert series.  Open to the public, so bring the whole gang and your neighbors, as well.  Or, if you want to get away just come by yourself.   You can bring your chairs, and don’t forget bug spray.  You never know.

The movie and concert series are sponsored and coordinated by Make My Day Event Planning. 

The movies are on Thursdays at sunset.  Free popcorn for all in attendance.

The schedule is as follows:

July 7th – Despicable Me (PG)

July 14th – Eat, Pray, Love (PG-13)

July 21st – Inception (PG-13)

July 28th – Little Fockers (PG-13)

August 4th – Tangled (PG)

August 11th (Toy Story 3 (G)

The rain date will be August 18th. 


Live Entertainment is from 7:30 until 9:30 p.m.

  1. Love this website and love the post about The Village of Five Points events for this Summer – and the restaurants are great too! I love taking my son to the community movies and concerts, he’s just 3 and loves being outside and enjoying the entertainment!
